Recently Licensed Practical Nurse hoping to secure an 1199 position in NY. I heard the benefits are great especially in healthcare and school assistance that extends to family even! any advice towards securing a position and at which hospital/nursing home as a new lpn would be greatly appreciated.

Hey were you referring to Montefiore? if so they are 1199? thanks a million! I applied regardless though :-)

Any other location you know of that hires in the NY area (queens, BK, manhattan, bronx?)

Yes and yes they have 1199 and yes Bronx Lebanon u can walk in 1276 fulton 6 floor

10 am - 2 pm tuesday or thursday

U can try when I passed my boards in December. I went a place called home care at its best and towne agency will hire u just don't tell them u are new get the address online for towne walk in and take the test they pay. 26 hr plus I have other agencies if u wanna work at clinics and stuff let me know

So what are the benefits of 1199?? I thought NYSNA benefits were better? Can you please tell me some of the perks of 1199??
