Thanks Ltimko and good luck to you as well!!

I am also in the same boat in Colorado and hear the same from my classmates. So I accepted a job as a corrections agency nurse and work for two different agency. I drive anywhere from 45-120 miles to get to my assignments, at Colorado Department correction facilities. Not what I had planed but it's a job.

Im not sure of all the hospitals that do it, but Morristown Memorial Hospital(atlantic health) hire recent RN Grads as long as they have graduated within the past 6 months

Hi Amy,

Did you end up getting this position? I interviewed at RBMC recently and am supposed to be going for a 2nd "peer interview" on a med/surg unit...the whole process is taking very long and i'm getting nervous. Any tips?

i know how you feel.. i'm in the same situation... they all want experience and dont want new grads for per diem positions...

Try doctors offices and nursing home, they seem to be the only ones hiring new grads these days. Once you get a little bit of experience than you are more marketable. Many oncologist hire alot of RN's for chemo administration in the office, it's good experience and you get certified in chemo. Make phone calls and send resumes to offices in your area, many times they don't advertise.

Hang in there, good luck
