I am studying for the NCLEX, Our school required a 80% pass rate, ok, so I made it now it's time to take the NCLEX.

I have completed 2000 questions so far using Meds Pub, Evolve, Hesi , review with the Judith Miller CD's

and currently using Saunders Q an A contains 3500 questions.

Plan to complete about 6000 questions before I sit for the NCLEX, by the way I got a 721 on the Hesi Exit Exam which is not passing ( I never passed any HESI exam is school but, I did get better throughout) so I will take it again on Friday 8/3/07. I feel like I don't have good test taking skills and don't seem to take it all in sometimes.

I also am scoring an adverage of 55-70% on all these tests.

So finally my question to you is, why do people fail is, it because, they did not prepare, did you do practice questions, did you review weak areas- I am soooo scared and feel very anxious about preparing well and failing.

I also have been studying for the NCLEX everyday as of June 20,2007.

How many questions did you do before you sat for NCLEX?

Pudding, I hated the Kaplan. Not that the questions were terribly difficult but some of the answers seemed to go against what I had learned in school so I stopped using Kaplan. I liked the NCSBN.org website. They are the ones that make the questions and I felt their review was comprehensive. I passed the NCLEX two weeks ago with 136 questions.

Update- I passed with 75 Questions.

Kaplan did help me- ALOT.

The NCLEX is similar to Kaplan b/c Kaplan's questions are Higher level.

Priority and Delegation book was a Tremendous help.

Kaplan gives you confidence to go with your gut!

I had 7 meds, 5 of which never heard of, 1 math and tons of P and D questions.

My philosphy is the first 30 + questions are not that difficult, it figures your LEVEL, then shoots into overdrive where you are getting 50% right and 50% wrong.

My advice Take your time- don't rush through, breathe!!!!!!

yes, you will feel like a failure after the test.

www.allnurses.com helps so much with the waiting period.

Pray that the Heavenly Father allows you and guides you to the right answer and eliminates those distractors.

I wish you all the best-
