Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education

U.S.A. New Jersey

I was hoping if anyone went to Center of Allied Health and Nursing Education in Hackensack, NJ and if so I need to know about the Exit Exam. I failed the exit exam just took a few days ago with an 83 an dpassing is 85 as you should know. When you fail the exam and you come back to take it again do you get the same version? Are the exams basically similar the 2nd time around? Would love to know

Just to add to all of this, I currently attend the center for allied, And i am almost done with my classes, js1979lpn i understand where you are coming from, but i just want u to also know that alot of things has changed since u left. ALOT of people have been passing their exits, and the exit is harder than the NCLEX, but it is designed to motivate u. If the exit wasnt so tough to the point that it made u study so hard, the NCLEX that u passed would have been totally difficult for u. They are basically preparing ur mind not only for the exit, but also for the NCLEX. And if u struggled and passed, why shouldnt another person be able to do it. I don't think its a good thing to discourage people, if anything, let them know it is absolutely difficult, but POSSIBLE. Afterall u made it through. And i do know people that passed their exits and also their nclex with no problem. The school has encorporated new things that is really helpful. And by the way, No LPN program is easy, Nursing is not easy. So whoever wants to go to The center, i say go; but you have to be very motivated. Am sure the same goes for any other LPN school in the whole of the country, or else it will be considered BAD TRAINING!

Hello ladies

I am a current student At allied health and nursing education.

Most students commute from brooklyn or queens.

Yes the program is very intense , you will be in your books everyday.

You most get an 80 on your quizzes and exams anything below is considered not passing.

Classes start exactly @ 7:30 and end exactly @ 4pm.

The teachers are wonderful.

Any questions feel free to ask me :loveya:

Hi, good luck to you. I recently started at the Center but I'm a little disappointed thus far. I've spoken to several people that are farther along than my self and we all feel that the teaching isn't where it needs to be. I also see a lot of favoritism but that could be anywhere. The administration is on top of everything as you will probably see. I'd like to hear what you think.

I take the test this Monday on the 20th :)... I hope it's not all that difficult.. any advice guys? thanks

Yes, review military time, decimals, fractions, ratio's, percents, and reading comprehension. Good luck.

I took my Hesi today :yeah: Passed :yeah: Soooo happy now just the interview and start Hopefully Nov. 8th....:redbeathe

congrats. i start the day program on october 25th. The interview is very easy all you have to do is go with the flow and be yourself. They do read the answers you give on the packet they give you so make sure you put some thought into it.

My interview is in 2 weeks I'm going to start working on it today :uhoh3:I'm so excited.:yeah:

Do not go to LPN school, go to RN school!

Please listen to me. Do NOT go to LPN school. It is a waste of your time. There is no jobs available for new LPNs. If you really, truly want to be a nurse then save yourself time and money and go to traditional RN school. I know that many of you are busy-but There are part time and evening RN schools in NY/NJ that cost the same amount !

TRUST ME.

You won't find a job. And then you will either change your field of work or continue on to RN school. So please take my advice and just go to RN school!!!

I could not be any more honest and frank. I passed all my exams 1st try, was an honor student, passed NCLEX first try..got my license in two states, and havent found a job in SIX MONTHS. The only jobs my classmates have found are medical assistant positions that pay ridiculously low. I am not alone in this opinion, others please speak up and let the new and prospective students know..There is NO job market for new LPN's in the New york/New Jersey area.
