Burlington County College Spring 2014

Hello,

Is anyone applying to Burlington County College for Spring 2014? Have you applied before? What pre-reqs do you currently have completed? I am getting a little nervous about the whole process. Just wondering if anyone else is applying and how you are feeling about the roller coaster ride we are getting ready to get on.

Did you check the box on the adamsafegaurd when you registered to receive the results via email? If you didn't, I think the results go straight to the school.

got a confirmations of both drug test and background check were both passed and sent to the school. Now i cant wait to get our first packet, I hope by the end of the month!

If you dont mind me asking what is ur gpa? I was waitlisted also and im wondering where i am at on the waiting list. My teas score was pretty high and then reason i didnt get chosen to get in was because of my gpa. A few years ago when i 1st started college i got a D in one of my classes and it dropped my gpa down low. If you dont want to tell me on here where everyone can see i understand i just couldnt figure out how to message on here lol

I was waitlisted the past two semesters so i understand how frustrating the waiting game is. My overall GPA is a 3.5 with all my pre reqs done, and i scored a 70% on the TEAS. I really think all they look for is your pre-reqs are all complete and that your gpa is over a 2.5, of course the higher the more competitive. Also the lowest grade i have for a pre req was a c+, Im not sure if the class you got a D will count if it is a pre-req. Have you completed all your classes?

Thats crazy that you were wait listed for 2 semesters with a gpa and teas score that high. I do have all my classes completed. A few years ago i took a class and got got a D in it. I decided i didnt want to go to school at that time and just started working full time. After a few years went by and i started going back to school but i went to a different college and recieved all A's and B's in all my classes and had a gpa of a 3.3. I transfered back to bcc and my grades and gpa didnt transfer with me so it was like i was starting all over again. I took a 3 more classes that i needed at bcc and recieved A's and B's and got my gpa up to a 2.5 with them classes and my teas score is a 77. I just dont know what i should do now. I was thinking about taking another class to up my gpa a little. But im still up in the air about what to do.

does anyone know if we are allowed to register our self for NUR119? They have it up on the website, but I am not sure if we have to see the Nursing department before we register.

HI!!!! Is any taking Med. Admin. in the mornings over the spring intersession? I just registered!!!! I'm getting so excited!! I also ordered my name tags last week, they said they take 6-8 weeks to come in!

I didn't know to order name tags already..how did you know? Did anyone get their packet in the mail yet? I feel lost! And I don't think we can register until we get a signature from the nursing department yet.

My friend started in the fall. She is giving me all this info. Her name tags came just last week!!! Her clinical instructor made it clear that they would not be able to come to clinical this week if they didn't have them. For the first round of clinical she wore her school ID, thankfully they came in. I went to the bookstore in Pemberton for them, I ordered 2 for $25 just in case. Also we can't register for Nur119 until we receive our packets because the registration office is not aware of who has been officially accepted. for every other semester we do it on our own. We can however register for Med. Admin. which is Nur.103. This course is optional but recommended. We must pass this test every semester we are in the program with at least a 90. I've been doing a step by step with my friend so if anyone has any question please feel free to ask!!!! ~Christa
