SNHU Online RN to BSN Program

Hi guys,

Thank you all for your inputs at SNHU. I am starting my first class next month, preferably, Statistics. I need 36 credits towards my BSN.

# xobritney24- How was the statistic class? How is it taking 2 classes at the same?

I currently attend SNHU and you can transfer previous bachelor's classes over. I did that and only have to take 12 classes to get my BSN. You can apply for the school before you get your associate's, their advisors are really good at explaining all the requirements.

Someone above mentioned aggressive advisors, and I kind of agree here, they call a LOT, but I email my advisor when I have questions and that seems to settle things down. I get maybe one call to see how I am feeling once a term now.

I have taken 5 classes so far and will be done by June 2017. The format for the classes are all pretty much the same, which is nice, because you know what your terms are gonna look like each time. I have enjoyed the courses I've taken and am happy I chose them.

I took scholarly inquiry on its own because my advisor was adamant that it was a lot of writing and I would want to take it alone. I took info management at the same time as I took ethics and legal. Those two classes work well together, and I used one text as a source for the other course multiple times. However...I could have dealt with taking info management with scholarly inquiry. You should be fine.

I'll definitely take the Info Management and Ethics and Legal together. Any more nursing classes you've taken so far? Any more input? Thanks in advance.

I took stats first, on its own, could have taken that with something else. I took diversity alone, too, which I should have paired with stats. Inquiry I took alone. I took informatics and ethics/legal together. I just took the AP community health course alone, which should be taken alone. Right now I'm in finance and in pathophysiology. Those will be fine together. I take the other AP class alone, two more together, and then the capstone alone and I'll be done by July of 2017. I would have been finished a semester sooner if I had taken stats and diversity together, but I didn't know. lol. I like the format because it's pretty much the same each term. Just make sure to work ahead and you'll be fine!

@kummerspeck.Thanks again. Your inputs are very helpful. I also took stats alone as my first class at SNHU. I didn't know what to expect with their formats. I like it so far. Congrats to you, you're almost done. I still have 10 nursing classes to tackle and diversity. It's gonna take me a while, since I also work 40-50hrs/wk.

HI, I am applying to SNHU as well. I was wondering if nursing classes are graded pass/fail or letter grade? Also, what is their true nursing accreditation? It is a cheap school and I hope that is it also good. Thank you!

The courses are a letter grade, not pass/fail. They are CCNE accredited, so there are no issues with that. It may be a "cheaper" online school, but it is a really good program. I've found it very doable.

Hey guys! I am starting NUR 300 Scholary Inquiry this upcoming term (Mar 6), from what I am reading it looks like the consensus is this class should be taken alone?? I want to double up on my classes if I can to complete my degree sooner. Anyone have a template of which classes they took together that were manageable. I currently work 36hrs in an ER and have a four year old son.!
