I would like to hear from students of this program, do you recommend it? I can't imagine doing the didactic portion of a Nursing program online and then coming to campus/clinical sites for the rest... Read More

My understanding is that NV campus also does the Pass/no Pass format. They have changed the policy a little bit, where they will be listing a 4.0 on the front of the transcript, but the Ps will still be what show as your grade for each block. This is a problem, since NursingCAS and a lot of schools themselves still consider it an invalid GPA.

The Pass grade thing is interesting... I wonder why they do that? It makes me a little hesitant but I guess it's too soon to say how it might impact people?

I heard from the advisor at NV that confirmed what you said - pass/no pass with 4.0 included. NursingCAS does require you to input your grade but if P=4.0 can't you technically just write "4.0" or I guess it's more of an issue when the system tries to calculate your GPA and freaks out. Ugh I afraid to commit to a school and waste my time if it impedes my ability to apply to schools. She said "students haven't had a problem moving on to Master Degree programs" but who knows.. they could be schoools in the boonies for all I know.

Yeah...that's what they all seem to be saying, but if I were you, I wouldn't want to be the guinea pig, which is essentially what they're expecting you to do since the pass/no pass transcript is a new enough thing that no one has really tried to continue their education yet.

Bumping this thread. I was originally planning on going to Roseman and applying for both programs but decided not to. There is a new regionally accredited school in Vegas, Summerlin area called Chamberlain. Though not acclerated, I think it suits me more since I am transferring many classes so my schedule consist only of 1-2 classes per semester. I have applied to both and familiar with the process if anyone has questions & interested in the NV programs lmk.

Hi! I'm a current student in the ABSN program in South Jordan, Utah. I began in October 2016 and will graduate in February 2018. If anyone has any questions about admission requirements/process, the University in general, the program, the curriculum, etc. I would be more than happy to answer.

We received a e mail in February saying that are transcripts will have a 4.0 listed on them. So they changed it!
