Update on NC Nclex Results

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello.. Just to let everyone know about how NCBON is with posting the results of your NCLEX.. I took my first NCLEX RN in July and ended up having the whole 265 questions taking just at about 5 hours.. An utter nightmare.. I took the test in Florida for a NC license. It took exactly 9 days before receiving the dreaded big brown envelope telling me that I was NEAR PASSING. (Was verrrry dissappointed.) Seems that NCBON doesn't participate in the 2 day quick results program like a lot of the other states.

I was determined to pass this darn test.. I started studying again, this time spending more time on answering questions and reviewing content. I used the Saunders Green book concentrating on the comprehensive exam in the back. I also read the EXAM CRAM book from front to back and did the exams. In addition, I did the KAPLAN review course and utilized the Question Trainer software provided. It helped a lot. I Retook the test on Thurs 9/8/05. They post results Monday and Thursday nights between midnight and 3am.. I have been extremely worried since I checked the website continuously but with no results found.. So, after not recieving anything in the mail today, I called the NCBON phone verification and found the HOLY GRAIL..Whew... It was there.. Can't tell you how much of a relief that was.. I had everything riding on passing this exam. Anyway, it has been 8 days exactly and they just issued the license today on 9/16/05. So, for those in NC that are taking the NCLEX, try to be patient.. They will eventually get to your test and post the results.. Can't say that those 8 days or so will be anxiety free though..

On my retest, I had 118-120 questions.. I know for sure that the last question was correct. Not sure, but it seems that if the test cuts off at a certain number of questions, the last question that you answer should be a good indicator of what side of the fence you are on..

Glad to hear that you passed.:)

But those are both rumors, the number of questions has absolutely no bearing on the pass/no pass of the exam, as well as if you got the last question right that you passed, and if you missed it, you did not pass.

I have to agree with that one hundred precent, I know for a fact that I got my very last question wrong on my NCLEX when I took it and I passed with 81 questions. I remembered the last question adn went home and looked it up, then stressed for two days.

Congratulations!!! Before finishing up your post when you were talking about the material you used, I knew you had to pass the second time!!!

Congrats!!!! You did it!!! New RN

Congratulations .....welcome RN
