Took NCLEX today..stopped at 85 questions does this mean I failed?

I feel your pain. I took the NCLEX on 1/15 and have been anxiously waiting my results. My test cut off at 85 as well and I had a bunch of the select all that apply questions, which sucked I must add. Ha. I had two friends take it the week before me and their tests cut off at 85 and 86 and they both passed. Any way, good luck to you. Hopefully we both passed. : )

I haven't taken the NCELX-PN yet, but I'm probably sure you passed. I heard from numerous others that stopped at 85 questions and passed. :cheers::balloons:

mine shut off at 85, and I had a ton of those stupid check all that apply ones. I thought for sure I did not pass, but I did. Best of luck!!!

I need some words of encouragement.. I am feeling pretty low My test stopped at 85.. It had alot of the "check all that apply" doesn't that make the chances of getting it right lower? I hope I passed.. I am just really feeling afraid at this time..help!!!

i don't think i passed... i stopped at 85 questions..i guessed on more than half of my exam, and i got a bunch of the "easy" questions.. does that mean i answered a bunch of questions wrong b/c i got waay too many easy questions?

also, i didn't get a single math question.. does that also mean that the computer already knew i was failing therefore it didn't give me the math calculation?!??!

You're thinking about this too hard. There is nothing here that gives us solid information about your pass/fail result. Keep in mind that both passers and failers generally get ~50% right and 50% wrong. It doesn't mean that you failed. Let us know how the result turns out.

No that does not mean u failed but I know how u feel. I took mine on Monday and I am supposed to get the results today.My test stopped at 85 and I am going crazy too. All the people in my class or that I know that stopped at 85 passed. So far I have only read of one person on this site that failed at 85. Now I have a question, can anyone with quick results tell me how long it was before they could purchase thier results????? It has been 2 days and it is still unavailable. Did I fail? I live in Ca not for sure how it works but I did hear that it has to be exactly 48 hrs before you can even try. But don't quote me on that. Good luck I know you will do fine. Easier said then done huh!!! I took mine yesterday and I also shut off at 85 and had 2 math and 5 meds I never heard of. I felt really good coming out of there cause my questions seemed so easy. I remembered about 60 questions I had and I have verified them in my book and so far I know I missed 3 for sure! From what I have heard is that there are pilot question 15-25 questions that do not count. So I am hoping that is true.. Good luck.
