Took NCLEX today...and the wait begins

Nursing Students NCLEX

Took the NCLEX today. 75 questions. Lots of SATA, which are the devil in my opinion (just missing an "N" on the end...). Did the PVT and got the good pop-up.

But I still am terrified I failed. The NCLEX was just as awful as everyone said. Waiting...and waiting...I won't feel good until I see my license number on the BON website.

Question: this is the 21st century - we put people on the moon and we have all kinds of amazing technology, so why can't we see our results at the end of the test? Why do we have to wait so long? I don't get it.

Congrats on a job well done. Lastly, one for the road and for the fun of it, no more SATA (n).😃

Congratulations.great to hear that.

I just took the nclex yesterday as well. i tried the PVT and got the good pop up , but how long does it take to get your license number in NY. i've been checking and it's still not there so i'm starting to get nervous

I, too, like instant results but remember back to the sharpened pencils, 2 days of testing and then the 2 month wait for results. Then it was 'would I get the big envelope or the small one'. Size made the difference-pass or fail. To top it off I live in the country and my mail arrives a day later than post office. Everyone else was calling with their results and I had an empty mailbox. Thankfully the wished for envelope arrived the next day! The world has changed and those testing these days are very fortunate. Relax, it is only a moment in time when compared to all the years ahead. Oh yes, I forgot to say the test was only offerred 2 times a year. Same days for all testing throughout the United States.

That must have been excrutiating! I can't imagine since I was a mess for 26 hours waiting for my results...after only testing for 75 minutes! The older nurses have some grit.

I took my NCLEX-RN Exam on 9/30/17, a Saturday, at 1215. My exam shut off after 87 questions and officially finished the exam at around 1425. I felt pretty sick after leaving the testing center. I was thinking that I totally failed that exam. 87 was just such a random number to me. It also felt like my questions didn't get harder and that I was just stupid that I didn't know the answers. I only got a few SATA questions, some other random questions, and mostly delegation and prioritization questions. I was not confident after I walked out of that testing center. 9 hours later, after reading through various threads about the PVT, I went ahead and tried it (although my friends said that it doesn't work). The first time I tried the PVT, I got the "good pop up." I was up until almost 0500 because I couldn't sleep. All night I kept trying the PVT and it gives me the "good pop up" each time. I was still skeptical and was a wreck with the thought that I might have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to find out if I actually passed or not. Well, Sunday morning at 0900, I woke up to an e-mail about my eLicense. I found out that I actually passed the NCLEX-RN!!!!!! Pearson Vue still doesn't have my unofficial result. I also double checked on my BON to make sure that e-mail was not a hoax haha. There it is, I see my license number right next to my name. Long story short, PVT worked for me like it did for many others. Good luck to all future NCLEX takers.
