The day before D-Day!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello all. I am scheduled to take my NCLEX tomorrow at 2 pm:scrying:

I have been studying for weeks. But it took me 5 times to pass the HESI Exit Exam (from March to July) so I am just really nervous. All my practice test scores keep improving so a part of me wants to feel confident. But then I think about my weak areas, like MEDSSSS, and I'm like ehhhh betta not. I don't think anything could make me feel confident about this satan exam! :mask:

So I guess I'm here to ask for any last minute tips/suggestions on test taking strategies, what to do today, what to do tomorrow before my exam, what to do during my exam if I freak out haha... Anything you have to offer I am willing to try!

Oh and anything to lessen anxiety. I have baad test anxiety:banghead:

I also take the NCLEX tomorrow at 2. Today I'm doing as much practice questions and reading over meds (my weak area also) and labs. I was told to take it easy but I have always been the type to study up to the time of an exam. I also have hurst review on audio so I plan on waking up VERY early and listening to it tomorrow!!! I was told to eat before the exam, try to relax, bring a sweater in case you get cold, bring snacks and water!

I am also testing tomorrow at 2. This is my second try. The first I bombed at 75 questions. I am trying to remain calm. Only thing I can look forward to is the fact I've seen it before. Good luck to both of you

The day before my Nclex-RN I woke up early and read that 35 page review that's going around. I stopped studying at 5pm, took a shower, did my nails and planned what I would do when I got out of that testing centre the next day: shopping lol

I prayed a lot the night before (I'm one of those bad Christians who only pray when they need something ) but I prayed and prayed for God to let me sleep that night. I was in bed by 9pm and had the best sleep of my life.

I woke up at 6:00 AM, took Imodium and Peptobismol (prophylaxis lol) and reviewed my lab values .

I wrote at 8:00 AM and finished at 10:00AM. Passed with 75 :)

Good luck and trust your instincts :)

Good luck to both of you
Thank you and good luck to you!!!!!!
Thank you and good luck to you!!!!!!

Thank you and You're welcome ! Same to you:)

Hope all goes well for you - best of luck!

How is everyone after the test?

Mine shut off at 75, took about an hour and 15 minutes. At first I felt confident. Then unsure bc I wasn't positive about my last answer. So I googled and I'm pretty sure I got it wrong. So I was immediately very anxious and upset. But I've read that doesn't mean anything. But I just did the PVT trick (which I know isn't always accurate) but I got the good pop up! So I feel a little better, even if it is for a little while...

Sending positive vibes to everyone!

Time to go buy some wine, ice cream, and wait for Grey's Anatomy to come on ;)

What did you use to study? Congrats!

My exam shut off at 75 questions! !!! Still nervous, I hope I get my results tomorrow! I did not try the trick, im way too nervous.

What did you use to study? Congrats!

Thanks! I used Hurst for content, their practice exams, and the many resource documents they offer. I found the Kaplan Trainer questions on quizlet and did those. Also found some questions on quizlet from the Lacharity Priority and Delegation book. Oh and that 35 page study guide that's somewhere on here.
