Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Suzanne,

I have a question for you since you have students. You recommend Saunders hands down and I wanted to know what other study material you recommend. I have the Saunders Q&A book and I use the NCLEX review book from the Nursing Education Consultants. We had Kaplan come to our school today to go over what they give. They said they have more higher level questions than anyone else which is more like the NCLEX. Versus some reviews that have recall/knowledge questions. Is this true? Do you think Saunders has more higher level questions?

I'm taking the Hurst Review now and love it but I'm wondering how Kaplan is. I guess I feel like I'm missing something because some of my classmates are taking Kaplan. Did any of your students take review courses and if so, which one. Oh, we also have Meds Publishing coming to do a free live review for us since we paid for their programs during school.

Thanks!

Tiffany

hi cHicHiPaYpAy, thank you so much for including me in your daily prayer, that is so sweet of you!:kiss

hi suzanne,

today, i just recieved my eligibility letter from NY, my question is how soon i'm going to recieve my ATT?

thanks a lot!:)

Have you paid the $200 fee to Pearson-Vue yet? You will need to do this before you will be sent the ATT letter..........Pearson-Vue is actually the one that now sends the ATT letter once they receive confirmation from the BON.

As soon as they receive your money, they will send the letter to you. You can now go ahead and register for the exam also. I do not like to see foreign nurses register with Pearson-Vue until they receive notification from the BON.

Otherwise, with the time frame involved, you can lose your money. Once you receive the ATT letter, you have 90 days to take the exam in.

:) :) :Melody: :)

not yet suzanne. thanks for clearing my clouded mind..:p since i can apply in pearson vue and register for the exam, is it one (1) month before i'll recieve my att? i'm having second thought on scheduling now because our mailing system here's too slow i might miss my exam without the ATT on hand. is ATT via mail or i can have it printed in the computer?

thank you so much.

Your ATT will be mailed out as soon as they receive your $200. You need to have the yellow peice of paper that they send you by mail. You can schedule the exam once you receive the ATT letter, which is still my preference. But you will not get any letter until you pay the $200, as Pearson-Vue is the one that sends it out now.

thank you so much suzanne for your assistance. (((hugs)))

will check the pearson vue now for the how to's of applying.

greatly appreciate your quick help.:)

PresC & Rikomama, im in the same boat. But my only resources is the Saunders, nothing else lol. Cant either afford the online review but other than that I just PRAY :)

Thank you for your pray! I believe Saunders is one of the best reference to study. So, don't be worried too much. Online review is great but reading saunders gives you tons of information. Online review is just a new way of studying but nothing can change a way of effort to study! I mean that as long as we study everyday at least a month, we should be fine! We will be talking as RN in the states very soon

hi suzanne,

just received my ATT via email last night. now, i just like to ask your help on how to apply for the International Scheduling in Hong Kong? what # should i call? and what are their requirements?

also, about I.D. to present in the examination day, i only got passport with photo and signature, i have no other i.d. than that. is it safe to bring one (1) valid i.d. in the testing center? is my r.n. license here a valid one?

thank you so much, again.

presC.
