My plan is to take the nclex-pn mid-November and this is my study plan:

  • Content - Exam Cram 3rd Edition
  • Test Taking Strategies - Kaplan 6th Edition
  • Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment - LaCharity 2nd Edition

And questions questions questions from all books + anything I come across.

  • $50 3-week course on NCSBN (maybe)

I seen you posted that you were out of school for 9 yrs. I've been out for 3 years and I'm having a difficult time studying and focusing...any suggestions? Thank you :)

I tried the ati testing tutoring that they offer and I did great and thought I was ready being my tutor gave me the green light to test and I wasnt successfull!! Good luck again! I have until August to test and pass if not I dont know what exactly happens cause that will be 4 years since I graduated? How long do you have?

Congrats!!!Did you have to take a refresher course before receiving your license? I am retaking this month after 8 years and I am a bit nervous and dont know what to expect.

Hi everyone I'm new here and I'm soooo nervous on my nclex pn exam coming up Oct 31. I'm not confident when it comes to SATA type and I've read a lot of experiences where people ha email so many of them! How can I prepare myself for SATA? So far I have completed NCSBN 5 weeks, I'm still doing kaplan on demand with about 600qbank left to go, 69% readiness on kaplan, I think I've done around 3000 q&a within the 2 months that I have been studying, and yet I still feel like I need more. Besides kaplan and ncsbn I have been reading exam cram and q&a on Saunders. Help anyone?

Hi I would definitely recommend you take the ncbsn course. It is very helpful.

Hi, thanks for the reply! Yes I agree ncsbn was very helpful but I needed more questions to practice on so I enrolled in kaplan on demand because I have heard that Kaplan has very challenging questions. Anyways I'm just praying that I don't let my nerves get the best of me. What else helped you with preparing?
