Thank you. Has anyone here gotten less than 75% before reading the chapter. I have been getting some 60% and 50% which makes me really nervous and uptight.

I've been an LVN for close to 17 yrs and not actually in a transitional program yet but always thinking ahead to my second trip to Austin to take NCLEX. Suzzane's program follows Saunder's Review book and CD. I googled it- is it the one that is $40-50 and has a blue cover?

Awesome! comforting knowing that you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to pass. A good study guide, practice and commitment should work. I've heard nightmare stories about pricey workshops and programs.

    Hi Echota,

I sometimes would get 60% lowest 50%.....is that normal? I feel at lost sometimes with Suzanne's plan. Am I alone with this?
You are not alone, hopeful. Don't get discouraged if you score low. I know it's frustrating to go back and read the chapter but just remember that scoring low only means that we still need to study more in that area. Take your time to read that chapter again and make sure you feel comfortable in that area. It will only help us prepare for suzanne's guide after we're done studying the book

How far along are you? I'm not even halfway yet as I hope to be I guess it's gonna take longer than I expected. That's alright, as long as I pass the test the next time I take it

    Hi Echota,

I will resume Ch 30 tomorrow. I had a real bad day yesterday with Kaplan and it is now resolved. It set me back because I got emotionally upset the whole day and it continued this morning. But tomorrow will be a better day or at least I hope it will be a better day. I am planning to do at least 10 chapters a day.

Are you using Kaplan's strategy as well. I tried doing it but most of the questions really apply on content for this particular study in this book.

I got < 75% on some chapters, the lowest was 63% for nutrition stuff. I read the chapter, retested and got 100%. I wouldn't worry, there are bound to be topics you haven't read/covered for some time. In my case, it's 10 years since I graduated, so I am reviewing several chapters along the way.

Gosh, I do not even get 100% after re taking the quiz. I still sometimes get 75% after reading the chapters.

I hope everything is better for you today I tried doing 10 chapters a day but it's impossible for me hehe...5 chapters didn't work either... So i'm just doing my best to study that area and make sure I feel good about it before going to the next chapter.

It's hard to apply Kaplan's strategy in every question of the chapter because I sometimes don't know the content I'm starting on ch 33 today. Goodluck studying

    To Hopeful RN to be,
I'm in the exact same boat as you. There have been a couple of chapters that when I re-test I still score low! I go over them AGAIN, but I still don't always feel 100% w/ the material. I just hope with all the rest of the chapters (I'm starting ch.30 today, and I only do 1-2 chapters a day. It's hard with a baby and I don't study well at night) everything will eventually kick in! I'm sure there is no way every single person that passed felt 100% with every chapter!

I know it is hard to do 10 chapters because I get discourage when I score low. I feel that I went to school for nothing. But I plug along. And it is just hard to study al over again.

I had just gotten my Saunders review book today in the mail. I am so excited to start Suzanne's plan. I had failed the next 9/13 and just got my performance report and that was depressing. I actually don't know anything...lol...

I had thrown out all my notes from Kaplan and ERI. I have read everyones success stories with Suzanne, so I threw everything out and put my other NClEX stuff on ebay. I am strictly doing Saunders (first step) then the 6 week plan. I just don't need any distractions.
