I graduated pn school in Philadelphia, and did very well. When it was time to take the nclex I was extremely nervous and had a gut feeling I didn't do so well..I was right. After that fail I tried again. I focused more on my main problem areas, felt alot more confident and was less nervous but again failed. After the last fail I just felt completely discouraged and very apprehensive to retake the exam. I've never been a quitter and I don't see myself never trying again but I could definitely use some support, advice and some good study methods..

We moved your thread to the NCLEX forum. Good luck.

Well, you cannot approach it the same way and expect different results. The first two times I am guessing you studied on your own? If so, how about a tutor for this time?

When I read a question I think about everything that has to do with it (signs, symptoms, meds, teaching exc.) BEFORE I read the answers. There's always a distraction answer in there to throw you off which can make it more challenging if you weren't sure if it was hypo or hyper something. Also try memorization tricks like hypOkalemia + digOxin = tOxicity... They all have an O. Also the LaCharity book everyone talks about really is great! Good luck!

An definitely considering a tutor,I think it would help, aside from that I just have to get over the fear of failing
