Nursing Students NCLEX

ok I have the Saunders Comp review for nclex -rn (not sure what edition)

And am doing quesiton on the cd. But how do I know how many questions I have done or how many I haven't? The format is totally wierd.

It gives me these choices...:

#1 quiz, 10 random questions without rational till you finish the quiz

#2 Study. also 10 random quesitons with rationals.

#3 test 100 random questions without rational till you finish

#4 Save test (to come back to)

P.s. every option except for the later will only let me select one area of topic. Example: endocrine.

So.........................how do I know how much I have done and how many questions I haven't answered if it is only a random thing?

Confused beyond belief....AmyD in Ohio

The green was the second edition, for the Comprehensive Review. It should state right on the cover what the edition of the book is.

Do you have the CD only, or the book as well?

I got your program just unsure where to start on it? any guidance?

Not sure exactly how you have been preparing, but if you have not been reviewing the rationales with each group of qeusitons, then start over from the beginning. The rationales are just as important as the questions, even more so, in my opinion.

Where do I look for the edition? I can't find anything anywhere.

AmyD, i think you got the old (first editon). It's better if you get the 2nd ed. (green cover) or the 3rd ed. its has the new format. I had the 2nd........

this one I have is a purple color.

purple? hmmm.... i think that's a first editon.... im not sure though....

It will say on the book, if there is nothing, then it is the old edition. And it won't be helpful to you, there have many updates to the NCLEX exam since then. You can also tell by the copyright date of the book, on the inside.

As per my earlier suggestion, get your own copy. You will be glad that you did.
