Quick question fellow nurses!

I took the NCLEX-RN exam for TX last Wednesday, Aug 26 at exactly 1pm and finished the exam at 2:30pm with 90 questions. I was trying the quick result on the Pearson Vue site since this noon! They said that Quick result will be available after 48 hours and I read a lot of stories that it is literally 48 hours! Its Friday now, Aug 28, 4:40pm and every time i try the quick result it shows that my "result is not available at this time". Its more than 48 hours! Its killing me! Anyone experience this loooong waiting before? Its taking forever!

#1. Are you certain your State participates in Pearson Vue's Quick Results program? Check here: https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/these-are-the-1000479.html

#2. It's 48 hours, unless your results were placed on Hold status for any reason. This occurs whenever an incident report is triggered, and it can be anything from a palm scan that didn't 'take' the first time, to standing up when you were told to stay seated, to finishing too quickly, to a power outage.....to someone ELSE having an issue that had nothing whatsoever to do with you.

Holds are typically lifted between 24 and 72 hours. THEN results are available via QR, if they are available at all.

#3. YOU WILL NOT DIE. It is NOT taking forever. It will not kill you. Repeat this to yourself, and breathe, please? :)

#3 made me laugh so hard! Hahahaha! Yes, Texas does participate in the quick result. Its 5pm now (I'm in California) and my result is not available still so I guess I'm on hold? The 24-72 hours is saturday-monday. Can I still check my result even on a weekend? I called the pearson vue hotline and they told me to just wait because results will not be posted on a weekend. How true is that? I'm so anxious. Thank you by the way!

You are in California, but have applied to the State of Texas for a license, correct? Then it's the TX BoN you are dealing with. California takes weeks....but that's another story.

Can you think of a reason why a hold may have been placed? Actually, doesn't really matter; have seen holds lifted pretty quickly and others take days. In a couple of instances it took TEN days. Don't flip out on me, they were weird anomalies, but it can happen. Both passed :)

Once the hold is lifted, and your results are therefore available, they ARE available via Quick Results for a fee of $7.95. Either the PV representative was ill-informed (sad, really, if you think about it) or he/she was confused by the 785,983 questions they must answer every hour.

QR are available on weekends, holidays, Leap Year, and Groundhog Day--it's computer automated :)

Thank you so much for the information! I got the result already and I failed. I posted a thread about it, here's the link:

Please share your thoughts about it! Thank you so much for your help!

I have a question..

I'm waiting for quick result...since the last Saturday after I finished Nclex.. and today is tuesday... almost 3 days...

I finished with 150s questions and I finished at 2 pm.

I did quick result more than 10 times everyday.. and it showed good pop up.. however I'm not sure that is really accurate... and is it possible to fail even though they got good pop up.

or Pearson took more than 48 hrs because I failed?? or by accident, they didn't let me reschedule for next exam... I'm really nervous.. please help me, guys!!!!!
