PVT accuracy.

Hi guys,

Just took my nclex this afternoon, finished in 75 questions. Everyone says there's this PVT trick, and so I tried it but it let me go all the way and gave me a receipt. I feel horrible because everything I've read online says that if it denies you from paying, then you passed, but if it lets you pay then you failed. Has anyone else received the "bad" results on PVT but actually passed? I'm feeling horrible right now.... Help?

For me, the PVT was accurate immediately after the test and this is we in feb. I have read some posts on here where the trick didn't work as it should. Honestly, nothing is final until you hear from the board. Who knows what updates PV has had or if there system is down. Try to keep your chin up, it's not over till it's over.

Don't give up hope yet. If you live in a state that participates in quick results then pay the $8 & there will be your answer. As far as your question, yes. There are people who have gotten the bad pop up/passed, good pop up/failed.

The only way that the PVT is close to guessing actual results (and I did NOT say "accurate") is if you wait at least 24 hours for your exam to be finalized. When you leave the test center, only ONE score has been submitted (which is why the exam stopped where it did). Your results WILL NEVER BE RELEASED until a Quality Assurance review has determined your test to be valid. This occurs at some point during the 24 hours following your exam. Could happen 10 hours later, or 23.5. NO ONE KNOWS when, which is why we are constantly repeating the phrase "wait 24 hours before you play the PVT game".

Beyond that, anytime you submit $200 to Pearson Vue, they have an opportunity to take it. Attempting to reregister for an unnecessary exam (because you passed) is against their Terms of Service, and they warn you that if you do this you will not be getting a refund, nohow, noway.

The whole reason people like playing the PVT game is that MOST of the time, if PV doesn't allow you to register again, it means you have passed the test. MOST of the time, if they DO allow you to register/pay again (or attempt to charge your card) you failed.

Problem comes in when SOME of the time, an invalid card submission (changing the date, for instance, to avoid being actually charged) results in a "card declined, contact your bank" message. In those cases, people freak right the hell out because they believe they must have failed.....and, sometimes, all it means is that Pearson Vue took them up on their offer to throw them $200. And they pass, in the end.

For you, there's absolutely nothing to tell you, no way to know a blessed thing: you did the PVT far too early, so all you know is....nothing. You might have passed and paid $200 you will lose. You might have failed and will need that registration eventually anyway.

All you can do at this point is sit and wait....and warn your friends to not do what you did! If you are in a State that participates in Quick Results, pay the eight bucks and be done with it, and KNOW if you passed or failed.

Good luck, it'll all be over soon.

Don't give up hope yet. My friend was a repeat test taker. She tested again last week and did the trick and it took her to the cc page she was devastated she found out the next day she actually passes. Not always 100% accurate. Good luck

Your friend did not play the PVT guessing game correctly causing her undue stress Since August 2014 Every Single Person goes to the credit card page. Everyone must enter a form of payment for a chance to guess if you passed or not the only accurate results are the paid quick results (if your state BoN participates) or from your BoN directly.

CONGRATS!!! 75q and the PVT green light!?! You got this!

How? She tried within hours of test completion and was charged for a new registration.
