Preparing for the NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi all,

I am in my last semester of nursing school and will be graduating this December. I am just getting ready to start preparing for the NCLEX and wanted to know what advice you have for preparing to pass the NCLEX the first time. Did you use a particluar online study package, did you study for a certain amount of time each day prior to your test, and/or did you practice a set number of NCLEX style questions. What did you do to prepare?

Hi! What I did before was after I read my Saunder's book, I then answered the prioritization and delegation book by La Charity, after that I purchased Uworld for a month, did 2 sets of 75 items per day, then read the rationale every after exam, a month passed by so quickly and I still have time left before my scheduled date of NCLEX so I renewed my Uworld for another 2weeks.

I used hurst review online which helped me with content information. Also used review books from kaplan and ati. Did 100 nclex questions and studied for 4 hours per day (Monday-Friday) for a month. Passed nclex the first time. Make sure you review your weakest subject(s) first and really understand the rationales
