Pearsonvue trick help!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So I took my NCLEX today and went straight home to do the pearsonvue trick. I used a prepaid card that had less than $5 on it and it went through?! It should have been declined and the card itself is showing no record of $200 being charged to it. It shows on the pearsonvue website as I am registered, I recieved an e-mail, but nothing on the card. Is this a glitch? Is this a new way pearsonvue is stopping people from doing the "trick" and paying for their early results? Any thoughts? I am having a nervous breakdown.

Well it takes 24 hours for the trick to work...they grade the test twice before you really know for sure. Then you can use a card with no money on it and if is say...our records ...get in touch with your boards... then you passed if they ask for another card with more funds ...then you failed but after 24 hours from the finish test..

The "trick" is not foolproof. It is most accurate when tried 24 hours after testing. Do some research on the boards on the trick to help pass the time.

I didn't know you were supposed to wait 24 hours. Oh goodness. I still haven't seen anything on the prepaid card I used, but on the pearson vue website it says I am registered to test. So I think I screwed up any chance I had of using the trick because now it just says "you are already registered." I am still really confused on how I am registered though if the prepaid card I used had less than $5 on it. It should have been declined.

So I took my NCLEX today and went straight home to do the pearsonvue trick.

This would be the problem. You didn't do the 'trick' correctly so.....it is what it is.

You may have just donated whatever was on the card; be happy it wasn't $200.

On Wednesday, pay Pearson $8 to find out. No "trick". Your BON may post faster than that.

Update: My friend tried to use her card, which is the exact card as mine, and it was declined for insufficient funds. I'm wondering now if pearson vue is going to run all cards through after a test (whether they have sufficient funds or not) so everyone that can pay for early results do so.

No if you pass they wouldn't let yu the same test twice . That is why it's called a trick...if passed u will not be able to pay or retake the same test

I'm wondering now if pearson vue is going to run all cards through after a test (whether they have sufficient funds or not) so everyone that can pay for early results do so.

No. Quick Results are official test results, provided by Pearson Vue for a fee of $8. People using this option KNOW they are paying $8 for this service.

The PVT ('trick') is completely unofficial, not sanctioned, and therefore cannot be paid for. Failing to do it prudently can (and has) resulted in expensive charges to people's credit cards or debit cards, and they are non-refundable.
