Nclex RN january 2017

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

This post is for all those who are taking their nclex rn in January. How are you guys with your review? What materials are you using? Let's encourage each other. Thanks

That's great!!! Its taking me forever to finish. I have 400 plus to go questions. Its like after reading one question my mind time travels to the outer space, then back to reality, same with reading the rationale. My mind time travels lol. I don't even know if i would still have the time to go back to the questions i got wrong to review them.

I were taking our test on the same day but girl you are wayyyy above me lol I still got 1200 left. I calculated and I won't even be done till the 20th or the 21st and that's with me doubling the questions. Honestly I've been sleeping more ...tired and just reading rationales for the past two days. I'm going to try to finish the rest of my rationales Tomm. I get lazy and don't read my rationales while I'm taking my test so it inhibits my time ...I don't learn smfh. But hopefully I can get back to questions either Tomm or Friday.

I have the the same problem too. I think we're honestly mind wandering because it's still far away and we kinda hit the books early. I did kind of as soon as graduation started ...I feel like I should have took a break more....I think that's what I'm doing now lmao making up for lost time. I don't know this experience is exhausting...I hate the studying. I just hope this one will be my last....all my friends are passing around me with just 75Q's so it instills some more faith in me that it can be done. There's someone with my same brain wave length Tomm taking it..I will love to hear her experience since it'll reflect mine most likely :). Just know that even if you don't finish it's ok. Just try to set a day where you're going to just do the predictor and focus on reviewing the wrong answers basically the week of that's what I'll do ...I'm cutting myself off the 20th and just taking the predictor. Then I guess I'll answer until 2 days before the test while reviewing labs and the 35 page guide I'll review 2 days before as well.

Hey I did not work 32 hours the both times I studied though, I had no job for 8 months. This time around I unfortunate have to work this time, I need money to feed myself, i have bills that will not go away, and i do not have family that can help me. But thank you, best of luck to you too.

i know I don't live your life but 32 hours is a lot considering you are studying for nclex. I made sure to clear my schedule for the next two weeks or at least just working once a day so I can focus. I hope you do too it sounds like it can be a factor towards your non passing. I know everyone has bills I hope you can figure something out to truly sit down and study. Good luck to you.

I read all the rationales, I even write down every single rationale that took me 5 notebooks of writing. No matter how much I knew the rationales, it still did not help me with the exam, so i will not ever use uworld again since it gave me the same failing results you know? I disagree when ppl. say uworld is the truth and you will pass if you use it. It does not work for everyone, so thats not true. It's just like saying use kapaln you will definitely pass, again kaplan works for some ppl. not all. I even tried Kaplan and uworld together on the first try and that did not work for me.

how did u study uworld did u focus on the rationale before?

Praying for you and all taking NCLEX, drink hot lemon tea with peppermint, get some rest then study and know your hard work in school and studying will pay off. All of you are future nurses!

Claiming victory!

Vto....Congrats on passing, RN! Are you willing to share how many questions a day you did 3 weeks prior to taking the NCLEX and remind us what study material you used? I love this thread.

I'm in my last semenster and my school uses Saunders, so how long did you purchase Uworld and how many questions are you averaging for the 3 weeks prior to testing? Keep us posted about your outcome, praying for all testing.

Another thing I won't be looking at any more negative posts I want to look at strictly positive. I feel like reading into the negative posts can produce anxiety and steer you in the wrong direction. Imma keep the faith, stay positive , and say to myself I will pass and pray before each study session !

Negativity is definitely not needed especially @ a time when your trying to put yourself in a better position. But this is what I say to negativity I rebuke you in the name of JESUS!!!!

Awesome!!!! Did you do the trick ? I'm so happy for you!
