NCLEX Pearson Vue "Trick" DIFFERENT MESSAGE at First! Find Out EARLY (Pass or Fail)

Hopefully this information will relieve a good deal of unnecessary anxiety in many of you out there regarding the NCLEX-PN. Just wanted to post that I received a DIFFERENT MESSAGE when I immediately checked (The "Trick" as simply followed from another other Blog I found here and elsewhere on Google) on my computer after completing my NCLEX test.

Apparently, there are two messages I have heard about with this process that indicate you passed, and my wording was a little different. At first I got something along the lines of:

"Candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time."

If you got this message just relax and wait a few hours and try it again. I was at least happy I didn't get to the "Credit Card Payment" section because that would be a most unfavorable occurrence, yet I still had some doubts...

So after approximately 5 hours after I finished the NCLEX, I tried it one more time and fortunately got the same exact message from all the other "Trick" Blogs I had previously read about, which states:

"Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

I have determined with confidence (based on all the other Blogs I read about with others confirming this exact sequence) this exact message puts the probability of passing the NCLEX at about 99% likelihood with a 1% outlier. I imagine its no different for the NCLEX-RN as well, Pearson Vue is exact same company so it shouldn't be any different.

I'll be 100% satisfied when I search my name on my State's official Board of Nursing website, two of my friends took the same NCLEX 4 days before I took the test and reported to me that it took them 1-2 days (either the Pearson Vue website, Board website, or email) for the full confirmation of passing NCLEX-PN. But at least I can sleep well for now until I get that extra 1% of assurance ;)

I Hope this helped a lot of people out there, and REMEMBER, regardless of a pass or fail - NEVER GIVE UP!

Sounds great RadioNurse congrats to you!! I cant seem to pull myself to check the trick I took it yesterday and the website said that they were doing maintenance so no registrations, rescheduling or cancelling could be made. Wouldn't you know it hahahaha :bag:! I will however get up the nerve at some time today to check or tomorrow :roflmao:

WOW...so happy for you. I will take my test at the end of the month, and my stress level is so high. What all did you do to study for the nclex-pn? I been trying all kind of stuff at first. now I just do ncsbn 3 weeks , flashcards, studyguide for this site. But it's I am still so worried how it will come out.

I forgot to mention that for the trick to work your "status" on your pearson vue must be as "delivery successful."

Also, I wanted to mention the other message I was reading about (since I got the different "open registration" message which was neither one of the two messages so many people have blogged about) which is:

"the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time."

So basically if you get the "on hold" or "open registration" message it is NOT a indicator that you passed or failed they are simply still processing everything and you have to wait (I double checked at 5 hours after exam) and then my message eventually changed to the Pass message:

"Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Hope this clarifies some more :)

Thanks! I noticed the website talking about the same maintenance issue during the time I checked the trick and it still worked, so don't let that stop you :) Im sure you did great and finding out now would alleviate everything for you, I heard from many nurses that they all felt like they failed walking out of the testing center so it is very common to feel that way. Go for it!

Thanks DJAYS, you still have a good chunk of time to really buckle down and study and it will pay off and you'll be a better nurse for it. I recommend writing a study goal calendar for yourself and post it on your mirror at home as a daily reminder. Write down when, where, what and how long you are going to study up until the day of your exam. Break everything up and get organized. I recommend the saunders nlclex examination book as it is very helpful. Honestly I would skim each section briefly and go straight to the practice questions at the end of each section and study all the ones you got wrong and really focusing on the rationale/explanation of each wrong question while writing it down on paper (writing it and reading it reinforces your learning comprehension). Do this for each section in the book, then take the cumulative test at the end of the book. If you have extra time then go back and read instead of skim over the chapters you are weak in. Then a few days before your exam I would go through all the questions again from front to back, being careful to not waste too much time on each question. Your brain will remember that you previously read it and it will really stick that way. Also be sure to thoroughly read the first section in the book about test taking strategies. It is how you interpret the question (positive or negative event inquiry, similar answers eliminated, avoid asking the dreaded "what if...", etc.) that can really help you in taking the NCLEX. Also, make sure you schedule time for yourself to have fun with friends and whatnot. Honestly I didnt like the ATI information and found it to be "overly extensive" compared to what you actually get questioned with, plus I hate reading off a screen, but its good to do some online studying since it puts you in the same kind of format you will be testing on NCLEX day. I did ATI once in a while and also did some youtube videos. Also have some papers to bring with you at all times (standing in line, doctors office) with basic info like lab values, basic drug info to clue you in on type of drug/action and such, its amazing how much extra studying you can get in running errands and doing other things if you are a really busy person. Good luck you will do great!

Those test taking strategies in Ch. 5 of Saunders are great I also recommend learning them!

Thank you for the information about studying. I know the end of the month is coming up so fast. I read everything everyday but what I find myself doing is the RN stuff not the PN . There is so much RN information out there not so much PN books. I just wish I had more free stuff like the RN questions / study guide. It's like they just don't have much for the PN . I do also the ncsbn 3 weeks , green book nclex-pn, the red book also.

You passed. From what everyone says, that's a passing message.

I got the exact same message

It's better to wait for the unofficial result than try to get the result right away so u wont have false hopes. (For me) Goodluck!
