I really wish people stopped using the PVT. It is equivalent to using a "magic 8 ball", but worse since some waste $200 by doing it wrong.

Hi Babyland my wife took the test yesterday the 19th at 1pm after 75 questions it shut down. we checked this morning about 9am. Used the Pvt but it charged her $200 she is so distressed. Do you think it means she faild. What do you know about this trick? She used the ncsbn to study with any suggestions

So did you take the NCLEX or dos your wife? Like a PP said, the trick is like using a magic 8 ball. It is what it says it is, a trick. You (or your wife) risked $200 and lost it. The only accurate way to know for sure if you passed is to pay for quick results if you can or wait until the name shows up on the board of nursing website.

It must be done at least 24 hrs after completion of the test. By attempting the trick before the 24 hrs may result in the Pearson payment processing system to take your money.

Since the test stopped at 75 questions, a better indication of her pass/fail is her performance during nursing school, the NCLEX pass rate for the school, and her performance on her practice NCLEX questions. If the test stops after 75 questions, there are only two possibilities: you did extremely well and the computer determined that you are competent and you pass. The other option is that you did extremely poorly and the computer determined that no matter how many questions, you would not pass. It is extremely unlikely that someone that did very well in school would fail after 75 questions.
