Mosbys Nclex Review-do I need a Master's degree or what??

Keep in mind that the harder the practice or review questions you do, the easier the ACTUAL NCLEX will be for you. Taking easier questions, or simpler ones for practice won't do you much good (if you can't pass the harder ones, that is).

I found Kaplan questions harder than Mosby's, personally, and used that primarily for preparing for NCLEX when it came down to the last few weeks before exam. Prior to that, I used Saunders and Lippincott's (which I deemed to be much easier, or at least more knowledge-based questions than Kaplan or Mosby's). Applying knowledge and correctly answering critical thinking questions are what get you to a passing mark on NCLEX.

You're still in school, and just beginning third semester, so there's a whole lotta time to get those questions down, don't beat yourself up! Use the Saunders and Lippincott's to get a feel for understanding the functions and systems. Then move up to the harder questions that you'll find in Mosby's and Kaplan.

I have to pass a NCLEX review test with a 76% for school. I am in my third block of 4 blocks, ADN program. I purchased Mosby's Nclex Review RN book.

The questions are crazy hard!! The question is long and tedious, the answers are long and tedious.... One question down, I am already exhaused!!:roll My tests in school are pretty darn difficult and I have perused other NCLEX books before and was suprised to see many of their questions did seem easier than my school's. I mean, what gives?? I got another book from the library and it was 100x's easier, but I couldn't get the test score to print (I need a printout). And Mosby's...it doesn't tell you how many you have got right as you go, so I had to take ALL 265 questions and waste THREE hours before I found out I got a 60%!!!! Complete torture!!

At this point, I am tearing my hair out and have given up trying to pass this one. I'll be heading to the store for Saunder's now, thank you very much. I suppose I should have researched the purchase on this site first!!

Anyone have Mosby's?? What is your impression???

im not too crazy about mosbys .. or any other review material. but i am a big fan of Saunders Comprehensive Review.

Hello. I used Mosby's to review for the NCLEX...yes it's really hard and you will get very frustrated...but the end result is priceless when you pass the NCLEX. I started out getting around 62% and by the time I finished all of the questions in the book I was getting an 80%...much improvement. I agree that it makes you want to pull your hair out but I think it's a great book and helped me pass. Good luck.
