Hi i just want to ask if the lacharity book also helped with the nclex-pn exam? And how was it or how was it not helpful for those who have taken the nclex-PN? Thanks

It's overkill as it's designed for the RN scope of practice. A lot does not apply to LPNs as far as delegating

Thanks so much. Cause i read someone just passed the nclex pn because of that book. So just wondering... :)

Anything is possible. The book isn't intended for PN candidates but that doesn't mean a candidate cannot use it and be successful. There are PN candidates that use NCLEX RN prep books and pass in minimum question. IENs and those challenging the NCLEX-PN fare better using resources like Hurst for content, scope and Kaplan for strategy as neither were educated in the LPN scope and delegation nor to the critical thinking process of solving NCLEX questions. (IENs, especially IEN RNs, are educated to their country standards and not exposed to US standards and NCLEX prep like US students. More so if ESL. Hence the ~30% pass rate for IEN vs 85%+ for US educated candidates. Non-nurse educated challengers (experienced CNAs, military medics) were not taught nursing process or nurse critical thinking and need to self teach)

If you graduated from a PN program with strong critical thinking, content and test taking skills use whatever resource you have available. If not, you likely will be more successful using resources specifically targeting preparation for the NCLEX PN

I used it and it did help me...I passed

Hi just to make sure... what exam did u take? Was it the RN or PN? Thanks. and which area did this PDA book help u? Was it with SAtAs? Thank u in advance for your reply... i really want to pass this PN exam. GOD BLESS..

And also did u use the second or third edition PDA? Thanks

Honestly, I wish I had this book when I took the NCLEX-PN the first time. Nearly half of my test was priority and pt. teaching. Since I bought the book, it helped out tremendously! I highly recommend this book, it contains multiple choice, SATA, and place steps in order. Yes, it is more geared towards RN but definitely helpful for PN as well!!
