is this a good study method to pass the method

am taking my nclex pn on october 24 and I was wondering what is the best way to study should I focus more on practice questions or should I read my books again my teacher said uts a waste of time to read the book again so I have been doing 100 practice questions a day along with 45 minutes of an online study course a day is this enough?

I can also tell you the best advice I received was to put away my college notes/books and do tons of questions everyday. The only time I pulled out my Saunders book was to look up info for my weak areas (infection control). I also used the online version of the Kaplan book, they keep things really short and tell what you need to know plus they also have great tables. I would say, I used the Kaplan book to look up info when I got closer to my test date and didn't have time to read the "wordy" Saunders book. I kind of wished that I used it from the beginning of my studying because it organized the info in order of priority while I found Saunders does not do that and a majority of the NCLEX questions ask " what do you do first" questions.

I used the Kaplan exclusively for my review. I know that it's expensive, so if this is out of your budget, check out Hurst/ NCBSN. In case it might help here's the stats from my graduating class so far:

2 people passed using Hurst and Kaplan at 85 questions

3 people passed using Kaplan exclusively, two at 75 questions and one at 100 + questions

1 person passed using Kaplan and NCBSN at 85 questions

1 person passed using Hurst, Kaplan, NCLEX app at 265 questions

P.S. I'm not trying to to tell you buy a particular product...I think the key is knowing what your weaknesses are and working on those areas and doing a lot of questions ( at least 75-100 a day and then reviewing them right away).

What works for one person works for them.

SuperHero, are you someone who needs more information on content, and needs to study that more? Are you someone who understands content, but needs more scenarios? Are you someone who needs to figure out prioritization and delegation better?

Once you know this, figure out where you need to focus to be better-prepared to tackle the test, we can help you better!

Some programs are better focused on content (Saunders, Hurst). Some are more assuming you GET the content, but have need to practice how to PUT it into practice (Kaplan).

What do you think, after the years you've spent in school, you should focus more of your time?
