I just wanted to let you know it is possible. I took my NCLEX on the 17th, walked out of there in about 45 min to 1 hour with 75 questions. I was scared. I didn't feel like I did horrible but I didn't feel like I had proved myself enough. Came home and did the PVT about an hour later and got the good pop-up. Waited in agony for two days, payed for quick results and I passed!
As for studying, I graduated May 9th and since then I was doing random questions from Saunders Comprehensive (5th ed) the yellow book, I also bought Saunders Q&A book, but what I used the most is ATI mobile mentor app for my phone. It isn't perfect but it is great for doing questions on the run. Every time I had a few minutes I would do a few questions.
Now let me be honest. I did not do hundreds of questions every day. I was lucky if I actually did 400 questions a week. There was a week in there where I think I only did 75. But I also looked over the allnurses study guide that is flying around here somewhere and that helped a lot too!
What I want to say to all of you that are getting ready to take it or just graduating, take your time reading the question carefully, do lots of questions and read and understand all rationales and have faith in yourself, but most importantly do not give up on your dream. Not everyone can pass on the first try and if you are one that can't please don't give up.
I wish everyone the best luck with your endeavors!
