  1. Congrats!! What school did you graduate from?
  2. UGH! I hate group work! And Baker is ALL about it! How did your final grade turn out in that class? If the overall grade was greatly impacted by that one assignment, then you can request a formal grade appeal. But that would go through the Dean (I was told ******* is gone. SAD!!!) and ******** again, so I'm not sure what good it would do. But it might be worth it if it will make a big enough difference. I just need to say again....I hate group work!!! And these peer reviews are ridiculous, considering how competitive we need to be for this program. I understand the point behind them, but some carry way too much weight in overall grades, and sabotage between students does happen. Not cool.
  3. Was the 3.9 her weighted or cumulative GPA? Either way, that's pretty good. If she also scored that high on the Kaplan, something else held her back from being accepted. I had a meeting with the director and one of the higher level advisers (since we can't say names on here), and they both said with my weighted GPA (which is also a 3.91), as long as I do well on the Kaplan, I shouldn't have anything to worry about. But there are so many other factors that might have held that other person back...the point system is kind of wacky so if she had to repeat classes, or had withdrawals, those all count against her...and of course the background checks and such. Who knows. I've learned (the hard way) not to pay too much attention to those around you or compare your grades/scores to anybody else with regard to whether they made the program or not. You'll make yourself crazy! Though I think we all have to be a little crazy to put ourselves through this! =) Are you applying right now, for winter 2014 start? That's the class I'm trying for also. Here's to good luck for both of us!
  4. Despareux, that was the most encouraging post I've seen about Baker so far! Thank you!
