Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi,

I am a new nursing graduate as of May 14th. My NCLEX is scheduled for this upcoming Friday. I'm super nervous about it, mainly because I have the job that I've dreamed of having just waiting for me to pass, and I've heard so many different opinions of the NCLEX and was wondering what my chances of passing are. I have completed the Uworld question bank and attended the Kaplan review course and am almost finished with all of the Kaplan resources. I reviewed majority of the content that kaplan provides in their e-book and content video library. I was a very strong student throughout nursing school, graduating in the top of my nursing class, but this test has me super freaked out and would appreciate any feedback! Here are my scores:

UWorld Qbank average 68%, 93rd percentile

Kaplan Diagnostic:66%

Trainer 1: 63%

Trainer 2: 66%

Trainer 3:61%

Trainer 4: 69%

Trainer 5: 70%

Trainer 6: 72%

Trainer 7:68%

Readiness: 79%

Qbank:64% (not completely finished yet)

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

I moved your post to the NCLEX forum to ensure maximum responses. Best of luck!

I do not know what all those numbers are as I am not familiar with Kaplan resources (read I am as old as Methuselah). However, please let me offer you this humble advice: continue to review the things you are weakest on (EKG's, blood gases, insulin onset/peak times), practice delegation questions, and the dreaded, "Mark all that apply." The night before your test, GET SOME REST!! You will not test well if you are not rested. Practice some deep breathing exercises to keep the anxiety under control. Remember to stay away from negativity; say positive things to yourself! You CAN do this! It has been many moons since I sat for state boards, but I remember the nerves and anxiety. Just take it easy, be well rested, and remind yourself that you just made it through nurse's training! Now, seal the deal and pass the test. YOU. CAN. DO. IT!!!!

Thank you for the advice! I passed in 75 questions!
