Get PDA book for NCLEX or no?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Debating on whether or not to get PDA book to study for NCLEX-RN. I test in a month. I've reviewed notes, gone through a hurst book, ReMar Quick Facts, and going through Kaplan review book now. I've found where I can rent the book for like $8 so it's not about the money. Wondering if people found it more confusing than helpful. I can't afford the confusion at this point. Side note, this is my 4th attempt at this test. I've been studying 2 months already after not reviewing info for a year. Have studied differently this go around and hoping it makes all the difference. Thanks for your input!

Yes, it will teach you how to answer priority and delegation questions on the nclex aka high level question

Do you recommend a particular one? The one I have looked at is by laCharity

the one i have is by lacharity. If you buy it new, you can put a code in their website to have access of all the questions in electronic test mode...makes it so much bearable when practicing questions

Does the book itself come with quite a few questions?

Yes the book itself does come with all the questions. There's also not a big difference between the 2nd & 3rd edition.

I highly recommend LaCharity

a week before nclex i did la charity online, you can separate questions by topic. There are 390 prioritization questions, and 140 delegation questions, assignment, and other misc questions there probably about another +/- 200 questions.

Hi,

It was a great book for prioritization. I actually downloaded the ebook from my local library, so definitely check with your library to see if they have it. In fact, there are a lot of resources for NCLEX at your library and it's so underutilized. Personally, I found the LaCharity to be helpful but the questions were a little on the easy side for me. They were not worded in NCLEX-style but they were helpful in terms of prioritization. Nonetheless, I do suggest it. It must be hard to have to re-take the exam but you can do it! Keep practicing. Good luck :)
