So I finally got through to the MD BON and got everything str8....apparently, someone did not place my transcript with my paperwork, so that is why it kept showing that everything was in, but I could not get cleared until everything was reviewed altogether. I had just told my grandma that God was gonna grant me my ATT on HIS time. She was trying to get me to take it in the state I went to nursing school, and have me do EVERYTHING over. But I told her no....that God will make this happen for me. Two days later, I get a call back, then get my ATT in my inbox. I feel August is my month....but also wanted to make sure I had ample time to finish my study plan so I will be sitting on August 31 at 8am. Now I need to step it up....time is ticking, and now that I have a date, I can kick up my studying.

This is my method....read each section in Hurst. Then I do 100 questions to see where I am. Usually I get like a 70-80% on them. Then I use the NCLEX made easy book and do questions until the run out for that topic or until I get tired lol. Then I do study mode with Saunders and NCLEX 3500, then do an exam with Saunders. Then I do exam with my other review book with 100 questions, then look up any more content I need to know, then do a last exam with Hogan cd to see if my score gets any higher. I am on GI right now and have done two 100 question exams, and sum study questions. As I check answers, I right down info about anything I got wrong or guessed on and got right, in hopes I will remember them. If I get labs, I make flash cards for anything I can't remember off the top. I hope to be done with GI tomorrow, so I can move on to what's next. After I go thru the rest of the Hurst book, I am doing nothing but questions all day. My goal is to do at least 500 a day after that. So far, I avg about half of that per day since I'm doing content mixed in.

Did you find the Illustrated Study guide to be helpful? We were told about it during our review by Sylvia Raye. I bought the book and I am just starting the CD now. Just wanted to see what you thought of it.

It's ok...it simplifies it but I kinda feel like it doesn't have as much as some review books BUT I love some of the illustrations in here. Like there is one for pancreatitis....pictures help me alot beceause I am a visual person. Some how, though, it separates the Hepatic system from the rest of the GI stuff....so that os a little frustrating.
