Failed NCLEX PN, desperately need help :(

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone, my name is Samantha. I graduated PN school 5/2011 and have been busy going back to school every since. I'm trying to get pre-reqs out of the way incase I decide to bridge into the RN program. I got so crammed with my new school work that I didn't have much time to focus on my ATI - which I know is a horrible excuse. I just took the NCLEX for the first time 9/30 and my quick results said I fail. I think I have to wait 45 days to re-exam in Kentucky and I don't want to waste any time studying to try again. I'm really trying not to get discouraged but it's hard. I would really love to hear some advice and what some you all have used to study with.

P.S. I also have the Saunder's review. I haven't really used it much though.

thanks for providing the link :)

I just took my Nclex on the 20th and found out I failed using the Pearson vue trick. My test shut off at 85. I studied but cranmed alot the last week. I was tested on alot of meds and priority and new born maternity which I didn't study as much as I wanted to. The quest for me it was really hard to choose the right answer.

What did you use to prepare?

I think you should wait for official results before you panic.

I recently took the nclex pn test for the third time since i graduated in 2010. i used exam cram and kaplan as my study guide plus i had the qbank questions but that still wasnt enough. Im starting to feel like a failure or that maybe nursing isnt me. Last time i failed i lost my job and didnt come out the house or talked to anyone for 2 months, I just feel like giving up! So lost :bluecry1:

The link is posted so there is no reason to post your emails. Good luck to everyone. We do advise you though to use authored genuine study materials as without a source, this can be just so much useless info and it may not be correct.

Please send the study guide to [email protected] I just failed my exam. Thanks

OK i just passed the 30th and it was my second time on the LPN NCLEX. My first time around i only studied the Saunders book and ended up failing. Second time around I then used the CD that came with it, going over the quiz format, then read the rational for each question. I then went on the internet learning all the lab values, such as hgb, white blood cell count, potassim, ect. I also learned ever medication that i could, i also tried to learn all the endings of medications, such as (ide) means diurects. I also felt the 35 page study guide from this webcite helped. There is a range of info that help you, such as lit tips to remember things. Its a must to have. I can say I was heart broken when i failed but it made me study that much more. good luck, i dont know how to attach the study guide to you, send me your email if you want, i also have meds too

do you still have the study guide? i failed the first time and dont want to fail again lol

hi everyone. I'm new on this site. I took LPN nclex in july 2013 and found out I didn't make it. Right now I feel like I'm a failure and my motivation is going down day by day. I really need help at this point. Please help :( Thank you.

Hi PMHNPs out there, any suggestion as to a very good review book. I am getting frustrated with this board cert exam, I just failed it for the third time today, I am beginning to lose my self confidence. I read the review material back to back, practiced all questions. It is really amazing that about 80% of the questions are social worker kind of questions, it really sucks. What kind of NP is ANCC trying to produce, the questions mostly have nothing to do with our practice, we are not social workers or psychologists. We are not been tested on our area of practice. How then can we prescribe effectively if we are been tested on social worker materials. ANCC needs to wake up, may be they need to stop being arrogant and get some psychiatrists to help them formulate the questions instead of using social workers to set the questions.
