Failed nclex for the 3rd time.

I failed the NCLEX my first time as well using Saunders 5^thedition. It’s a good book for content but not for NCLEX style questions. I passedmy second time from taking Helen Feuer’s live Nursing Review course in FT.Florida. I passed using Exam Cram(questions only) and Delmar’s Nclex review book(questionsonly on cd helped me pass) both were awesome in delegation and prioritizationquestions which are very important on NCLEX. Kaplan strategy book is also animportant book for you to study. Try and get all these books from your local libraryso u don’t have to spend any more money. I know you must feel defeated but I wantto help you. Please revisit Exam Cram. , although u said it did not work or itwas too easy, you need to keep in mind that pearsonvue is the creator of ExamCram and also the creator of the NCLEX examination. Study that book inside andout. Since you failed at 85 the last time that means you failed severely. Yousound like me, I didn’t know my content and that is how the Helen Feuer reviewcourse helped me because I am also located in Florida. Because the first timeyou took you exam it when to 125+ the closer u had come to passing. Somehow thethird time you declined. Please feel free to contact me!

hi guys! whats the update on your status' i also failed 3x hr in fl. i was verified by cgfns.. if we did pass on other states will we be able to reciprocity our license back in fl. without any prob?.. also a kabayan hr!!

I heard that NY and GA you can take it as many times..Is this right??? if you failed 3x in FL..can you take it at another state? and pay a fee to have your license in FL? HOw many days you have to wait to take it again in NY and GA??...

Any update on this topic? I took NCLEX 2x with CA BON and then one recently with FL BON. I didn't pass and FL BON said I have to take the remedial courses before they issue eligibility. I am trying to see what my options are. If NY or GA is better than just taking the remedial course. Thanks.

@patrickleevill as far as i know you can take as many time as you want in NY board,they do not have any issues like 3 times or so on limit.good luck yeah one more thing their eligibility does not have any time bound .and its much better to take remedial course.all the best.

Hi would you happen to know what the requirements are to apply to take the nclex in NY after i failed 3x in florida? is there anything extra that NY requires that i need to do first before i can apply?

Hello, I can tell you what I had done. I graduated from nursing school in texas 2012. I failed the test 3 times but texas only allow us 4 years to take the test anyway life git in the way after 11 years I took the NCLEX July 2023..Now what you can do is transfer everything to a state that allow you to test without having to repeat any classes. I transferred everything to new york because in NY it doesn't matter how long you have been out if school they allow you test as many times as you want as long as you pay that 200.00 dollars. I refused to go back to school. So call new york board of nursing to see if you can transfer everything there so you can test whenever you feel like it or find a neighboring state that would allow you to transfer to their state. But try New York first. Now I have a license in New York and texas..you may have to pay a few but look into it..just a suggestion
