It is now 4 years that i finished LVN/LPN school , i sat for Nclex 2 times but failed , on my second attempt i tried all i could the second time computer turn blue at 85 so i was so afraid of failing again, when my result came i failed. my second time was 2 years ago and since then have been going through so many things with 3 little kids. I registered in October last year and planning to do it in November two weeks before the exam day i changed the date to april 2015. Am scare because i dontw ant to fail again.

l have Saunders 5 edition and exam cram. But people talk a lot about Kaplan, Hurts review and NCSBN i do not have money to buy this review book or classes, since am not working presently and in want to try my best on my 3rd attempt and get my license, plus remove myself from this shame of not been able to work.

.Please if any one have Kaplan ,Hurst or NCSBN that i can use for study, if you can give me your username and password.

Also if you have any advice on how i can get it over with please i need your advice. Thanky ou

I doubt anyone will share their username/password with you as this likely violates the terms of service of all those companies you mentioned.

You'll want to review general content so that you're as up to date on subjects you'll need to know so that you can properly evaluate and answer NCLEX questions. The second thing is that you'll need to figure out how to pick apart NCLEX questions. There are no "trick questions" on the NCLEX. If you know your content well and you know what areas the NCLEX tests and how those questions are constructed, you should be able to determine the correct answer more often than not.

Since I'm an RN and not an LVN/LPN, the things I got on my NCLEX exam were different than what you got in the past and will get on this coming exam. The basics of picking apart NCLEX questions should be pretty well presented elsewhere on this site, search them out... even though they probably pertain to the NCLEX-RN, the steps you would go through to answer questions should be the same as the exam should run essentially the same way and determine your ability in the same way, over the same general areas.

The same goes for suggestions you should do prior to the big day so that you can better concentrate on the task at hand without getting overly anxious about the exam. Look for those tips on the forum, just use the search function and you should find many suggestions about reducing text anxiety on test-day.

I took NCLEX in January.

Know your delegation.

Know your diabetic care.

Know the big disease processes like COPD, Stroke and Heart Failure.

Know maintaining safety of patients and residents: example pull up rugs as they are fall risk, how to ambulate with a cain.

I used ATI to study.

First thing, this will be hard but from your post, you are thinking a lot about your previous attempts. You can't continue to think about what happened but think about the positives of the future. If you think about failing, you are increasing the risk of doubting yourself, second guessing yourself and increasing your anxiety. I understand that it will be difficult because I went through it during my first failure. I had the help of my boyfriend to push me to do better.

Second, you need to think about what is causing you to fail. Do you have issues with answering questions? Do you have issues with content?

Thank you for the world of encouragement. am study right now am using lippincot, saunders and exam cram. On top of them all prayer i will keep you posting about my progress. That i passed this scary exam.

Thank you i will continue to keep hope alive. You are very right and i will inform you about my progress. Thank you
