Excell Nursing Review

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hey, has anyone taken this review class? Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hey I know how you feel...my studying is going alright, but at times after practicing answering questions and seeing my results, I feel like I don't know anything...the study materials I have used are, completed kaplan qbank, did a few exams from the Saunders 5th edition cd-rom but not all, finished chapters 1-18 PDA lacharity, and now just started using the nclex rn 3500 alternate format questions that everyone has been suggesting for SATA questions. I will be taking my exam the 25th of March, which is next Mon, and I am terrified, ha. This will be my second attempt, so I am being as positive as I can. GOODLUCK to you![/quote']

Good luck to you. Just read each question slowly, identify the stem and careful ready what is asking then use the ncbsn tips narrow down into 2. What I did before my exam start or my click start I wrote all normal values in the white board, fvd and fve, hypo and hyperthyroid and etc.

Thank you mayjoyarceo.

Thank you mayjoyarceo.

Your welcome.

The Excell review was the best investment I ever made! I finally pass nclex the third time after attending excell. The thing I like about excell is it is the longest comprehensive review course I found. Its an 8 day review course and they go over the major topics, it helped me fill in holes in my knowledge that I miss in nursing school. THe review helped me understand topics a lot better as well. Also, it was entertaining and fun to listen besides psych lol. If anyone is looking for a comprehensive review course, I def. recommend excell. I know there are a lot of other review courses, so you just need to find what suits you the best. I chose excell through the recommendation of a friend. I also used NCSBN along with excell to test my knowledge. I felt both of these reviews was why I finally pass nclex the third time. My previous attempts I used kaplan and hurst. If anyone has any questions, just message me :).

Hi Kknurse1284! I'm enrolled for the upcoming Excell review but I feel torn between all of the nclex resources. I'm not sure what suits me. I'm like you, a friend recommended Excell and I feel like I'm going blindly into it with not knowing what they are all about. I'm just barely starting to review since I just finished nursing school and I want to take boards soon since things are fresh in my mind. I'm just worried with the updated nclex the level of difficulty of the questions are higher(meaning the critically thinking part is crucial). What do you feel like was the difference between your reviewing techniques with Hurst, Kaplan, and Excell? Plus any tips on how you created your study plan on passing board?
