eligibility to test taking forever, feeling discouraged.

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hey all! I'm just going to vent, no questions or anything. Just writing because I'm frustrated.

I graduated nursing school at the end of May and I've yet to hear from the BON about being eligible to take the NCLEX. I didn't even wait a week after I graduated and I was already studying for the NCLEX...every...single...day. Hoping I'd be well prepared to take and pass the NCLEX late July (that was my goal).

There are a lot of classmates that are not even studying but already received their eligibility:banghead:, me on the other hand, studied everyday and haven't received anything.

It's frustrating and discouraging to not hear from the BON so now I've slacked off and haven't been studying because who knows when I'll be eligible to test.

Ugggghhhhh!!!!:no::nailbiting::dead::cry::(:down:

What state did you submit your application to? I'm in California and the application process for new grads and those trying to endorse their license to CA is painfully slow. I graduated and applied in early May, paid the CA BRN and Pearson Vue and still no ATT. I have called everyday for the past 8 weeks and have not been able to reach a live person to get some answers. Half of my graduating class has received their ATT and tested, so I know exactly how you feel. I've been studying a bit every day but it's really tough with no end in site. Many of us have filed complaints with the CA nursing board, the department of consumer affairs and some have even written to their congressman to get some answers and hopefully solutions to the excessive delays in California. Try to stay positive and keep reviewing your study materials so when you finally do get your ATT, you'll be ready to rock the NCLEX.
