Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if you guys found the NCSBN Learning extension helpful. I just purchased it today and have done really horrible on all the pretests...the questions are really difficult.

For those of you who have passed NCLEX and used learning extension did you have any similar questions or content on NCLEX, or did it just help with how to answer the questions.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Specializes in Oncology.

It helped me.

When I did those questions, I didn't do so good at the beginning either. I repeated until I understood all the rationale.

However, I studied all contents and 98% of all provided q bank.

It didn't help me. The answers to questions did not show rational for all the answers, just for the one correct answer. I think it would have helped me to process it better if I knew the rational for each possible answer for each question.

The price is great for the amount of questions you have access to (about 1300 all together, includes pre-test).

I hate that everything is only online, not printable so you can make notes on certain things if wanted to. I knew that info going into this, but I didn't realize how much it would annoy me to keep logging on to refer to things.

I felt the questions were more difficult than the NCLEX (but then again, I didn't pass, so I have other issues too :wacky:)

I haven't tested yet but I'm using NCSBN and I really like it. I'm not sure what the comment above means about there not being rationales for incorrect questions. They give you rationales for every question right or wrong and also have a podcast that dissects some of the questions. I know a few people who used NCSBN solely and passed. It's pretty heavy in regards to material but I don't find it difficult to understand.

Sorry! There IS a rational explaining why the answer is correct. But I wish there was a rational for each of the other wrong answers on the same question to explain why those answers were incorrect. (Like Kaplan questions) It would help train your mind even more on how to answer the questions.

What did you do with the required units by the CA boards? I am a 2010 BSN graduate from the Philippines. On my application for licensure by examination, I was instructed by the California Licensing boards to take OBGYN theory and clinical to be eligible to take licensure exam in California. Do you know schools that accept internationally educated nurses into their nursing classes? I am from the Bay area so if possible I want to go to the nearest one. So far, Fresno City College, Samuel Merritt University and Evergreen Valley College are the most probable schools I might go to next year.

Thank you in advance.
