Does this mean I failed?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi!

Just got back from taking the NCLEX-RN. Got shut off at 75 questions.

I got only one med calc question and I know now that I got it wrong. Do you think this means I failed? I know that the computer typically gives you other questions on the same subject to see if you get them correct, but this being a calculation question, I could see how the test may say "get one of these wrong and you're out".

What do you all think?

I need to go do some deep breathing and slow my heart rate! :eek:

It is so hard to predict as you can pass or fail with any number including the max. Hang in there and good luck

I took my RN exam today. I had 75 questions, and one calculation. I am not sure how to interpret this. I hope I pass!

FWIW I took nclex pn shut off on 85 no med calc, no SATA, mostly priority and a few infection control. I walk out thinking that maybe I got 4 or 5 right. The test was nothing like the study questions I did or what I learned in school. It was pure critical thinking. I passed. I really truly believe that it is just random.

mykee: Your test sounds like mine. 75 questions. One calc. Also, lots and lots of priority questions.

That "last question related to med/surg, psych, etc = passing" has now got me thinking. I don't remember my last question!!!!!

Do you remember that seen in National Velvet where she sees the horse coming down the road and hears that it is hers, than promptly passes out? That's just how I felt when I saw "passed" under my NCLEX status!!!!!

Thank you SO much for all of the support on here! I'm sure most of you other "I-think-I-failed" people passed to.

Advice: I took the exam on Thursday and my online score was posted today, Saturday morning, even though I would not consider this a "business day" -- so keep checking the site even before "two business days".

:yeah::heartbeat:redpinkhe:redbeathe:bow: and...... :nurse:!

I passed afterall...low and behold. I walked out feeling good about my performance in that I'd given my best but by day 2 of waiting for results, I had convinced myself I'd failed.

My kids quickly supplied the contract they made up, with my signature, to remind me that if I passed, I'd take them out and play everyday. So, I have 2 weeks to play before they start school!!!!!!!!!!

I'm beat! But I have my bathing suit on and I'm going to float in the pool while my husband cooks for our picnic tonight. Ahhh - life after nclex.
