Critique my nclex pn study plan.

I have 45 more days till test (March 14th), I wont study the last two days leading up to test.

What I have:

Kaplan Nclex Pn 6th edition

Saunders Comprehensive PN 4th edition

Exam cram comprehensive PN 2nd edition

Exam cram practice ? PN 3rd edition

Ati practice test assesment codes list from school

Study guides gotten off this fourum and elsewhere

Plan

1. Read kaplan nclex pn 6th edition have not taken assessment test in the back of the book yet (will after gone through all Saunders ?)

2. Saunders doing the Cd on study mode content select all (all 3,625?s) writing down what I get wrong so I can go back and review.

3. Already did exam cram test ? redoing the ? I got wrong and reviewing rationales.

4. If I have time will do some ATI assessment tests.

I do 20-25? a sittting about 100-150? a day

Im planning on taking a few minutes off after every 20 or so? on the boards themselves. I find when I test that I just get in the mode of answer and not thinking, I will be mindful of how much time I have left.

Areas I might have to read and bone up on: MEDS, Maternal Child (especially child health), Med surg intugumentary.

I strategically picked a test site no more than a hour away from my home and on a week day in the afternoon as I feel this time and place will best suit me. And I will do a dry run to find the exact location of the facility figure out when I have to leave, parking ect. just hope it dosent snow that day knock on wood.

If I fail (Literally just knocked on wood!) I will spring for kaplan and or NCSBN reviews and test bank.

ATI readiness assement scored me at a 85% chance of passing first time. Graduated December 20th 2011.

Anything Im missing?

honestly...

this sounds like a bit too much but its okay...

first i think you should do the comprehensive test in saunders...

that will give you a calendar to follow... and helps you focus on your weak areas...

your nclex stuff planning is okay...

but just focus on content and questions...

saunders- great for content

exam cram- great for getting the nclex feel of how questions will be like...

i also recommend doing ncsbn review program- it has so much material and its like the real nclex type stuff....

You sound like you have a great plan, if that is the way that you learn. Don't waste too much time on the stuff that you know, work out all of the areas that you struggle with. Concentrate on the harder questions. Application, Analysis aka SATA, Priority. Review Pharmacology drug classes for side effects, contraindications.

What I did was Saunders in exam mode, NCLEX-PN flash cards, and HESI-PN Content review w/ CD.

As the test date came closer, I went to the book store and did NCLEX-PN Made Easy questions every day for a week. I just sat in a quite area of the store and answered questions and read rationals and drank coffee :zzzzz

The hardest part of the test.... ANXIETY. So address that issue as well. What methods will you use to control anxiety and stress leading up to the day of the test?
