Awaiting NCLEX Results

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello All!

Today I took my NCLEX exam, at 9am. Needless to say, I am anxiuosly waiting for my results. I chose to receive the results over the internet when they become available on Wednesday.

Anyhow, I am a nervous wreck!!! I went into the testing center with ample preparation as well as confidence. I found an overwhelming amount of confidence as I answered the questions. But the panic level started to rise when I had gotten to the 200-question mark and then to the 265-question mark. A friend of mine went as well and she only had 75 questions offered to her.

Does anyone know if this is any indication as to how I performed on the test???

Any of your thoughts or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

PS. It seemed as though I had a lot of development, asthma/respiratory questions.....

Hey Luvlot,

It's out of your hands now. You will get the results when you get the results. What's great is that you prepared well for exam. I know the waiting must be tough though.

265 is the maximum amount of questions one can answer on the NCLEX. The number of questions you get does not say whether you have passed or not. It is a highly individualized test. Anyway, let us know when you get the results!

Let us know... we are anxiously waiting... and today is 48hrs

I took the NCLEX last year. Like you I was prepared, but what I wasnt prepared for was all 265 questions, that really threw my confidence.

I waited the 2 weeks or whatever it was and called the 900 number. I passed!!

Many of my classmates also took all 265 questions. Don't let the number throw you!!

Best of luck and Congrats on joining this amazing career field!

I wanted everyone to know that I did not pass. I am frustrated, I didnt think this could happen to me. I have failed tests before but have always exceeded in the end.

Where do I go from here???

Thank you all of your support! LuvLotB

Disregard the last reply as being sent by jacel3111. It was meant to be sent by LuvLotB. I (LuvLotB) did not pass the test as mentioned above.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

LuvLotB,

I am so sorry.....

But remember, this is only one test. You cry for a few days, study hard, wait 90 days and take the test again.

Can you get help studying from one of your instructors? Or take an NCLEX review course?

Just remember to keep your chin up! Just because you didn't pass the first time does NOT mean you won't be an awesome nurse!

You can do it! And next time you'll get it!

Keep that chin up, but for now, go ahead and cry till you feel a bit better, then hit the books and go for it again.

Whatever you do--DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!

We believe in you!!!

hang in there.... you can do it! In a few days when you feel like it you can analyze how you did and start developing a strategy for next time.

Good Luck!

*hugs you tight*

luvlot pick yourself up and do it again. youve heard time and again about all the wonderful nurses out there who did not pass the first time. this isn't a reflection on what kind of nurse you will be. this is your testing abilities. if you are prone to test anxiety or are prone to getting anxious in general THAT is what this reflects.

try deep breathing. i should take my own advice. right now im trying to figure out how to get thru my last semester. i admire you for making it as far as you have! get up and go go go!
