Advice PLEASE!! :(

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi Everyone!

So I am freaking out over here!! I take my NCLEX RN exam on saturday and I am feeling a bit discouraged right now and am looking for some type of insight, advice, anything!

I have been studying since October using Hurst, Saunders, Kaplan and LaCharity.

Just to give you a brief overview of my scores, here it is:

Saunders: My exams have ranged from 65-75%

Kaplan: Trainer 5- 63%

Trainer 6- 68%

Trainer 7- 62%

Readiness Test- 66%

Now for LaCharity, this is where I get discouraged. I have taken 11 chapters so far and majority of the chapters, I received no higher than 55% … only chapter 3, I got a 72 and chapter 11, I got a 81…but that's about it. Should I be worried? Should I postpone? I am getting really scared right about now :(

No no no, don't postpone. You will do just fine! Keep your confidence up! Finish LaCharity, review lab values, and growth and development. Have you done most of the q-bank? Confidence is very very important. Your scores are great! the LaCharity book is very challenging. If you are doing well on Kaplan and know your content I think you'll do great. NCLEX questions are more straightforward than Kaplan in my opinion, but you really have to know your content. The LaCharity book prepares you well for the priority and delegation questions on NCLEX. Remember to follow chain of command and the priority is to keep patient safe. Also, make sure you have EKGs down pat, because that is one thing I felt Kaplan didn't cover so well. It could be that you already have that covered with Hurst. Remember to treat SATA questions as true or false for each answer.

Thank you so much, I think I'm just getting cold feet lol but yes LaCharity is very challenging, it has my thinking if NCLEX is as hard as LaCharity because the entire time I thought Kaplan was the closest thing to NCLEX but I think I'm getting the hang of it, at least I am trying to.

Take ur exam already dont postpone it ur score is good enough to pass nclex. Goodluck!

Welcome! My scores on qtrainers 1-7 ranging from 55-60% and i passed my board 1st try. Believe in ur self. Just dont panic when ur on actual exam. Goodluck!
