3 Attempts and I finally Passed!!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Yesterday I took the NCLEX RN for the 3rd time. This time I prepared with Kaplan. I had the one of the highest scores and improved the most in my group, that was a great confidence booster.....

So yesterday. I got to question 76 and my heart started pounding. I took a deep breath and kept going....All the way to question 265....I was pretty sure I got the last question right, but I knew that that one question wouldn't determine if I passed or failed....

Now the wait...Lastnight comes and I'm freaking out and I knew I'd have another nightless sleep...

Got through the night. Only one more night to get through...THEN my friend sends me an IM and tells me to call the state board because that's what she did...It took me a long time, but I finally called and was told a License was issued this morning for Registered Nurse....

I finally cried tears of joy...My life can finally proceed...

For someone who did great in clinicals but struggled with exams and I am happy to say those that aren't so good at test, will pass the NCLEX, it just takes us a little more motivation and a study schedule with structure...So thank you Kaplan...

Thanks for listening...

Your story is very inspiring and although I'm waiting for results I'm certain I failed b/c I ran out of time. Anyway this isn't about me right now so CONGRATS RN!!!!:balloons:

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!!

You said you used Kaplan... i'm starting on my class review too. I had the result of my diagnostic test and I passed but only at the borderline which is 65%. I told my aunt about it, whom i'm staying with right now, and she wasn't happy about it. she was saying that there's a possibility that i'll fail again in my exam. She's kinda a perfectionist. She's also taking up nursing right now and she's so disciplined in studying. She's always the highest in her anatomy class. I'm pissed off when people don't understand that this is not easy as abc.. only our fellow nursing grad could understand what we are going through. Sorry to vent out. It's just too much pressure on me to pass the exam 2nd time. :(

Hopefully this will make you feel better. On the diag. exam I got in the low 50s...Yes I was sick that day, but it shouldn't be an excuse. On the readiness exam I got a 75%. One of the highest in the group. I had the highest improvment in the entire group.

So I was way below borderline then went into passing range. So I'd say you in pretty good shape to begin in passing range. Keep up the good work....

You need encouragement, not that sort of attitude. Does she have a crystal ball? No? Your results and hers are mutually exclusive, so don't listen to her at all. Besides, how good is she at hands on? You are right, it is not as easy as ABC. Remember there may be only one of her, but there are plenty of you, me and others who find study difficult. Vent as much as you like.
