Holmes ADN

U.S.A. Mississippi

Hey everyone,

I applied for Holmes ADN for fall 2007. I have an 18 ACT, my standardized test scores are never the best. However, I will graduate with my B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics in May with an overall 3.1 GPA. Do you think this will factor in and increase my chances? I'm really worried! I received a letter today and they said applicants should be notified by April 18th.:uhoh3:

I fell your pain ms precious!!!

 I read the letter again and it said they would make a choice by the 18th but it didn't say when we would hear from them...

OF COURSE....there is always a catch!!!

I'm so tempted to call and say when can we anticipate receiving a letter. Its not fair to put us through this...lol I still can't belive Hinds students already know if they got in for the Fall...they work fast

I know... I just don't have the guts to do it. It really sucks not knowing; I don't know about you but this is all i can think about. Hinds does work pretty fast. did you apply anywhere else?

I applied to Jones County Junior College and their deadline was March 1st and I haven't gotten anything from them. Its like I can't focus in class now because I'm thinking I have to get home to check the mail. I keep talking to my friend and she makes it seem like its not a big deal for them to accept you...and i'm like yeah right.

I only applied to Holmes because I heard bad things about the Hinds program but know I wish I had. I have a final tonight and one tomorrow and I can't concentrate to study!

My roomie's boyfriend graduated last Spring from Hinds..He said he would recommend someone go to UMC before Hinds..

I wouldn't go to Hinds either. I chose Holmes for the grants available for me there, and I didn't want to go to UMC when I already have a bachelor's degree. I have heard nothing but great things about Holmes. I know several people who have graduated from Holmes in Grenada and they loved it there too. One of the instructors in Ridgeland used to work with my mom in the ER.

How many instrutors are at Ridgeland? Someone said they take 15 people per 1 instructor. Don't know if its true or not?

Specializes in Stepdown/IMU, full-time Night shift charge.

Four instructors per year. That is, four Freshman instructors and four instructors for the Sophomore year. We had around 60 students start in August.

(One more day of clinicals this semester. Just over 13 months to the end of this madness. ;-)

STILL NOTHING...I am going nuts!!!
