Hi! Everyone, i'm new to the blogging stuff and its my first time writing messages

Congrats to you! I hope to be where you are a year from now. I also attend WCCCD with 2 prerequisites to go and the HESI..I have A&P II and Microbiology left to take. I hope to be able to take both classes this Summer and take the HESI in the fall..Best Wishes! :-)

Thanks for commenting. Keep working hard and you'll be in the program in no time, it seems like yesterday I was just starting my PRE- reqs, time really flyers. Also let me know if you any suggestions on picking your teachers, I've had some really wonderful teachers there. Good luck!!

Thank you! Who did you take for A&P II and Microbiology?? Preferably at the northwest campus..

What was the HESI like?!

I took ***for A&P 2. She was amazing, we hardly used the book but she incourage us to get it to build library

. She used the blackboard instead of PowerPoint or just reading word for word out the book. She taught straight from her memory. She loves her students and makes use everyone is keeping up with the class and focused. She gave us a cople of quizzes and 3-4 exams and one final.

For Microbiology I took **** she was also a wonderful teacher. She taught straight from the book and wanted us to read before coming to class. She allowed the class to make a "reference sheet" which we could fill the sheet up with anything we wanted to use on the exams, which was very helpful. She also gave us a final exam study sheet that narrow down the material that would be used on the final. Again very helpful!! She only gave one chance for extra credit. All of the classes I took was at the northwest campus and online.

As far as the Hesi exam it was not bad. I had to take it twice. So I knew what material I needed to focus more on. The first time I ran out of time so the second time I did the learning styles part first, the reading second then math and science last. But as far as what to study for my weak point was the math, I have to relearn the fractions ALL over again and I must admit it was stressful sometimes even though its 5th grade math....lol I also went to different websites for math material that I though that I needed more help with and those help a lot. I even went to a tutor he was some what helpful but I need some one on one tutoring and he only did group tutoring, where he goes around and each person tells him one question at at time what they need help with. It was very boring so eventually I stopped going and stayed at home a taught myself. I also went on YouTube and look at teacher demonstrate how to solve the same problems that I was having difficulty with, which was also very useful. Finally I download apps on my phone. So that I couple solve math problems while I'm on the go!

But my advice to you is don't let your fear paralyze you, prioritize your time and make time to study, and you will do just fine!!
