Immunization for nursing students. Question -

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

I have no proof of any of my immunizations, except a tetorifice shot I had when I was older. We lost our house in a fire when I was young and we never had a regular doctor. Do I have to get a titer done? When will I need to show proof of my immunizations?

Also, if I need a titer, can anyone recommend an affordable location in Wayne county? My insurance does not cover my immunizations.

I am hoping to get an acceptance letter into HFCC's nursing program in Fall '08

Thank you so much. I am new to this website.

I don't know why you couldn't find it on there...I just checked...its there. But here it is:

I went to the Oakland County Heath Department and told them I was in school (for nursing) and had no real medical coverage (just basic) anyways they gave me all my shots and TB tests for free. You might want to check into that.

Good luck.

Always worth it (unless it's covered with insurance) to go to your county health department for these shots. Even when I went to a doctor, I mentioned I was in school and received those shots at a cheaper cost than usual.

This might work, you needed proof of immuization to attend public school. Check to see if they have your record???

Long shot but it might work
