EMU, does anyone have any information about admissions?

Getting information out of the advisor at EMU CHHS is like squeezing blood from a rock. Twice now I've asked specific questions about admissions procedures and the new points system, and twice I have been sent an email with the most basic, uninformative PDF file ever. It even has empty spaces where the curriculum guidelines are supposed to be. In the second email I even explained I didn't get the answers I needed from the PDF and I needed better information!

springing, I start the program in the fall. Shoot me a private message and I will scan the info I have on the points system to you.

Hey! It says mkach has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

Is there another way to contact you?

Springing...I will graduate from EMU's program in December. Perhaps I can answer some of your questions.

I also had a hard time getting any information from EMU. Once you apply then they are a little more helpful. I unfortunately don't know about the points system.

-Good luck

ok I will try to post some of it here. With the points system you get a bonus for each of the eight pre-reqs u take at EMU. They also give a bonus if you are currently employed/volunteer in healthcare. Some one else said that they give a bonus for being fluent i medical terminology of a language beside english but it was not in the paperwork so not sure if its true. I am not sure what else you want to know but ask away ;) and I will try to answer

I know this thread is a little old but I have the same questions... After taking two prereqs at a community college (A&P and organic chemistry), I will be applying to EMUs second bachelors program. How hard is it to get accepted (I have a bachelors from EMU and two masters from UM and work in healthcare now). When are the classes offered, there's a reference on that PDF that there is one required evening class... so when are all the other classes? Is it possible to work full time while in this program? How many hours do you spend in clinicals?

I'm also interested in EMU's program but their website is less than helpful. Does anyone know the prereqs, how many they accept, when the app is due, average GPA accepted? Any and all info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you so much! I'm not sure how I missed this page before. All I had been able to find was the stupid brochure that pretty much just says that they have a second degree program.

Thanks! I appreciate it!:yeah:

I know what you mean. I finally started up a word document with all the programs I'm interested in with the relevant sites listed for easy access... and I started that document because this specific link was so easy to miss and so hard to find. :) happy to help.
