Tall scrubs? What about fanny packs?

Tafford's no longer makes 36" inseam scrub pants.

Any other tall guys out there? What do you wear? Lots of places sell 34" inseam, but I need 36".

Also, what do you do about carrying stuff? Unisex scrub tops have high front pockets and my stuff falls out everytime I bend over to do something. I RARELY see anyone, including male nurses, wearing fanny packs. What do you do with you keys/cellphone/etc.?

I put my keys and phone in my locker.

Presently I work on a unit where we all wear hospital scrubs. Back when I did wear my own scrubs I could always find ones with 2 side pockets. You don't have to buy the ones labeled "unisex" many of the other ones aren't girly. The ones I wore had a V-neck with 2 large side pockets and came in many solid colors. I also was able to find pants with hip pockets as well as 2 leg cargo pockets.

As guys we tend to like tools but if you look at it objectively we really don't need to carry a bunch of junk with us. Right now I just carry a pair of kelly's, bandage scissors and one of those mini mag lights. I have all that stuff on the ring from the mag light so it all stays together.

I've never gone with a fanny pack because you don't really need all that much stuff with you. I also just don't like the way they look.

I wear Dickies Large Tall pants...not sure the inseam but I am all legs at 6'3" and they fit me better than any other scrubs I have found. The ones I wear have cargo pockets which I LOVE. I keep all my pens, scissors, penlight, flushes etc in one pocket and my stethoscope in the other big pocket, my tape on a hemostat clipped to my scrub top and the only thing I keep in my breast pocket is my new orders, oh and my "brain" sheet in my back pocket and PDA and pager (for work) clipped to my pants, my cell phone and keys in my locker (think it's unprofessional to carry a personal cell phone while on the floor--although lots do).

I usually order my scrubs online at either allheart.com or lydiasuniforms.com they both have quite a bit to chose from. Btw the Dickies scrubs are by far the softest most comfortable scrubs I have tried.

Hope this helps...

I checked online and the TALL Dickies pants claim to have a 32" inseam. I checked 3 different sites selling them, and they all say that.

I bought a set of hand sewn scrubs recently, and while they are nice they also cost me just under $100 for 1 pant and 1 top. My real clothes don't usually cost that much!

I use ackley uniforms (http://www.ackley-uniforms.com/landau_drawstring_scrubs.htm) . They say that the inseam is only 34 inches but I am 6'5'' and these pants are really, really long. They could probably even stand to be taken up a little...I am very happy with them. No cargo pockets but the length makes up for that.

If you don't mind me asking, what inseam do you buy in jeans?

wish you lot would think of another name for fanny packs!! fanny is a very derogatory name here for a certain part of a ladies anatomy!!! makes me cringe to hear you use it!!

I call them something else but in the interest of decorum I'll keep it to myself =P.
