Thanks for all of the advice! I'll definitely take it. Meds are up to 4hrs late at times due to either- her still reviewing the pts info to make sure we have not missed anything, not being able to find her, her being busy with something else, along w...
Yesterday easily had to be the roughest clinical day I have had since starting nursing school. I won't go into too much detail as the internet is very public, but here is an example of a couple of things that happened- Unhappy with me not using her s...

Something to add too is even if you think you can do everything the correct way you do at work , it more than likely isn't going to be the correct way for the STNA test. Text book vs. real life

I know it isn't what you want to hear, but I would take the classes. There are SO many specifics that they are looking at when testing and they can choose any 4 (it may be 5, I can't remember) out of 20ish skills. They ask you on the spot and you hav...
Honestly? Nobody could pay me enough to go through that hell again, lol. Review some lightly. Often times nursing books have a pg or 2 in the beginning of each chapter on A&P. Nursing is also more critical thinking than memorizing.

That's honestly something only you can decide. Both getting the job and what amount of work to take on :) It's fairly easy to get a position in long term care, hospitals are harder to get into. While it can be good experience and there is nothing wro...
Hi everyone! I am currently working through my study guide for my second fundamentals of nursing exam this semester. Part of the information we are being tested on is an introduction to caring for a surgical pt. In my study guide it simply says to re...
Since weekends are not part of the trial, and if your availability with the hospital includes weekends, then I don't see there being much you can do. You would be able to consult a lawyer if they were demanding that you work a Tuesday, but not a Satu...
I can happily say I finished my first semester of nursing school! 'C' in A&P1(that's a long and horrifying story), 'B' in Small Group Communications, 'A' in Introduction to Professional Nursing, and 'A' in Pharmacology. Needless to say I'm very h...
