They are super laid back..... Well was a little intimidating once its you and two people asking you questions. The asked us the typical why CRNA..... But mostly clinical scenarios. Good luck!
Anyone graduated from this school? I am concerned about their teaching method.....I have plans to practice on the west coast where most CRNAs work independently. East cost CRNA practice under MDA and that's what Drexels academic program is based on......... Any thoughts?
Have been accepted to a great anesthesia program.....I also have an interview scheduled at another school soon. Both school are awesome....one closer to home. My question is: if asked, would you tell the admission committee you have already been accepted? Would this increase or decrease my chances of acceptance?
any luck? Im waiting for them to give me the phase 2 review. Just awaiting my BSN transcripts to come in.
I would get a job in ICU or Level One trauma as a RN---take some science classes to boost your GPA. I got accepted into a super competitive CRNA program (and have two other interviews scheduled!) with Level One ER/trauma experience. I currently work in CTICU b/c wanted a little bit more experience with drips before I start school. Having CCRN will not hurt you, but is certainly not a requirement. Good luck to you!
Congrats!!! Super exciting!
Thanks for sharing your interview experience with us. See you in Philly!
This is my first time applying. I have worked in the PICU for the past two years...hoping 2 years' experience will be enough to get in! :-) Is this your first time applying as well?
I got an invitation to interview for Northeastern University's program as well...that interview is scheduled for Nov 3rd, so before the Drexel one. I am so nervous that I have two interviews within a week and a half of each other, but it will be nice to get them out of the way so quickly!
Are you CCRN certified? I have started reviewing material for the pediatric CCRN but don't have a test date or anything yet...I want to study hard so that I can pass it the first time. I am hoping that not being CCRN certified won't hurt my chances of getting into a program...I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Hi guys, have an interview coming up soon. Have great GPA and couple years of critical care experience. I'm concerned I don't have my CCRN yet. I'm studying for it and plan to take it in January. My questions is: how important is that certification when it comes to getting in?
Thank youThank you
I applied for Midwestern and will be applying for Cali State in November---Drexel is my fist choice and I am so nervous and excited for the interview! I wont hear back from those two other school until mid Jan/Feb. Is this your first time applying?
Congrats on your invitation to interview, ShoogleBear! I also got invited to interview on November 14th...so nervous but excited. And congrats YankeesRN on getting accepted...that is a huge accomplishment. If you have any pointers to offer on the interview it would be much appreciated.
Good luck all!
I startt Drexel's CRNA program this January. I also submitted my app in July and beleive I received a telephone call in October notifing me that I had an interview and would receive an email with dates to choose from. I ended up interviewing in May and only took a couple of weeks for a decision. They do a rolling admission and admitt for the following year. Hope this helps
Just got an invitation for Drexel CRNA interview---Yay! Can anyone give some tips on what to expect for this interview?
