I have been doing HH for almost two years and wouldn't trade it for anything! I take calls, and all of my pts have my phone number to contact me any time.
Pros:
Having one patient at a time to deal with, learning about their lives and helpi...

I am a CM but I'm in the field following up and keeping track of all my pts. The only problem I have is the communication between the nurses seeing my pts who draw labs and the doctors receiving the labs. I'm not in the office so I have no idea who...

I use a diaper bag that came with an additional smaller bag that I use for my IV/blood draw supplies. I love it. And I wear scrubs unless I'm seeing one or two pts...that's only on a day that I volunteer and can pick and choose what pts to see.

I am in Herrin and will be starting my new job at Carbondale Hospital. My sister works there already, and I did my LPN clinicals there a few years ago. Marisol, did you move here?

Do NOT consider working at Heartland. It's located in Marion, IL, but it's not got a good reputation here. They are a for profit hospital, and this means the patient to staff ratio is 1:10-12. No way would I work under those conditions.

After working in a CBRF in an attempt to clean it up after several violations (this in Wisconsin), and coming across a med error where a PCW (personal care worker, NOT even a CNA) gave a resident 20cc of Morphine instead of Carafate....well, I'm tota...
